Wishful thinking? Yamaha is traditionally slow with bringing out new tenere’s… let’s see what happens.
So you’re not a fan then? Personally, I think the 1200 twin cylinder motor is a cracker, OK, so Yamaha could have developed it quite easily to match the BMW GS motor and lost a little weight too, but if I was thinking of going around the World or riding to Tierra del Fuego from Alaska and then ride back, I would want a reliable, bullet-proof bike and the S10 is just that. Still, we are all different and the 900 triple is a great motor and it will be much lighter and I may well take a look when it finally emerges. I would have loved a slightly de-tuned MT-10 motor and a decent size petrol tank in and adventure type bike for the virtually 100% tarmac that I ride on.Finally dumping the twin cylinder1200 to bad they didn’t do that years ago.
If it comes with decent headlights, tubeless tires and cruise control I might be interested.
I never knew I needed 160hp. But the cool vs warm weather performance of my SAS has convinced me that 160HP is more like a minimum requirement....100bhp is largely irrelevant and most bikes and cars will never, ever have their power utilised by their riders and drivers but, lots of people like to have it is their right hand, just ask DirtDad of this parish!
Yamaha is notorious for using engines for many years.I cant see them doing an MT10 based Tenere. That engine comes from the R1 its too old now. . . .
And the EURO 5 thing is going to be key. An engine that passes and performs well. Yup, to Yamaha (and me) that's a keeper.Well, yes, the MT-10 motor is a few years old now, but Yamaha have updated it and made it Euro 5 friendly so it’s going to be around for a while yet. . . .
Well, that settles it then...Email today

I rarely reset my gas mileage and had to grin when I saw the estimated mileage of 43. That is EXACTLY what mine is showing over the last couple years. (Granted it goes up in AZ, and down in IL with altitude differences).Email today

Due to your shorter riding season.T12 returns for 2023 in Canada, $C19,399 including side panniers. Considering current exchange rate, that is $2480 less than the USA price without panniers.

We've done this "Is it canceled?" question/debate every single year since probably 2013. Different year and same answer is that we won't know till the company officially says it.
