Iam in the market for another S-10, used is very hard to find in Calif. Started to look for dealers with any 2021s or 2022s in stock... no joy there for any local within 400 miles of me. The dealer I got my 2016 from said he "might " be able to do a trade? transfer form another dealer but really didnt sound as though he wanted to do that. I have ten different dealers numbers I will call after the Holiday. Also it seems any new bikes are equipped with ES which Iam not a fan of, anyway the search continues. Should have never sold this one....IMG_1974.JPG

Yes, can't remember which year that started, but ES is all that's been made for the last several years. My opinion: if you can find a deal on an ES, take it. I think you'll find that you might like it more than you thought.

Check with Romney Cycles in WV. They will ship it to you and it will probably still cost less than local.

As far as I know, there is information that instead of S10 there will be Tenera 900
Initial impression: Why is that brake reservoir hanging up there in the breeze!

Looks like if you want to keep a drive shaft, hang on to what you got...

It's the homely and shy design, the little round peeping headlights make it look and feel like "I don't want to go out today mommy"
Maybe coke glasses for headlight protection will help.
Looks to me that Yamaha's R&D team on this one were riding the short bus to work.

Looks to me like 2019 was the first year that only the ES version was offered (in Ceramic Ice). No change in 2020, it was also Ceramic Ice.
In 2018 both versions were offered in Team Yamaha Blue.

Do we actually know if Yamaha have actually made any new XT1200s since 2020? For any market? Strikes me they probably made a few thousand last models for all markets, distributed them around the world, and once all sold thats it. Here in the uk the dealer I bought mine from told me they bought the entire stock from Yamaha Uk, 80 odd bikes, all of which had to be registered by the end of 20. They then outed them at cracking prices, hence they‘re all gone.
If in other country’s there was no need to register for emmisions regs etc, then there was no need to clear them out, or sell as bargains, hence there’s still some left. But from the sound of it, even these are getting scarse. No new colour schemes adds to this theory. I reckon if you’re thinking of upgrading to a new one, I’d crack on and get it done, cos I reckon there won’t be too many new ones left anywhere. He who hesitates………

Amazing to me how many new members we get joining this forumevery day. How many you think are real?
Since you ask, we spend a lot time every day pulling the weeds. If they have posted an intro and added their location, they are real
