i have received two phone calls from both places Yes I ordered two this weekend and they are on to the Price SNAFU and will not honor the sale at this low price.
In short I received two refunds to my Papal account, it won't surprise me if some of you guys get the same run around...

Yamaha must be freaking out at all these orders for the new clutch basket. I wonder if they understand why they're being ordered.
All these 2014 models breaking clutch baskets ???

It's kind of ironic that the one part we blame for the vibration also has a pricing error. Coincidence

I'd be surprised if they didn't know what's going on. After all, they're the ones who changed the clutch basket. Was that coincidence?

All the more reason they should replace the 12's and 13's to the 14 clutch basket and honor the low cost prices.

I think Yam should help us older owners we are not going to buy a new bike just to fix the issue can't afford it..
Can we do something about it as this clutch buzz is not good as well as fatiguing on long rides.

Just went with Rocky Mountain ATV lets see if this is a dead end $33.and change. ::017:: ::016::

The gasket was out of stock.. ::025::

It is what it is!! ::021::

You'd think the marketing folks would get wind of this and let the lower price stand. For the few dollars this will cost Yamaha, the goodwill going forward is worth 100X the cost...

Someone start a thread to show Yamaha how many riders would make the conversion if the price was to reasonable. Yamaha could make a Clutch Retrofit Kit.

Maybe Yamaha pulled a fast one and thought they could save money on warranty claims from owners of earlier models by pricing the part so cheap.

I think just before my warranty expires I will be complaining of clutch vibration and see if they change it out for a 2014 clutch.

Frez is on the right page. This is nothing new. Not sure it will turn into a warranty item, though.

I have no problems with my clutch but out of curiosity, I checked what Yamaha UK are fleecing us for the 2014 model clutch basket. They're asking a distinctly uncool £660.18 ($1130.08) on this side of the pond. ???

Went to the Yamaha website price listed with them is $446.52 so clearly think it's a nation wide type-O like $46.52 should have been $446.52..

800-962-7926 Yamaha customers relations.
I plan on talking to someone by the end of the day about the clutch buzz, I won't mention anything about price difference.

I am interested!
The thing is we need an army to make some case about the Clutch issue and that obviously yamaha changed the clutch basket on the 14..
If you compare the parts numbers from previous years the Clutch basket as far as I can see is the only number that has changed and redesigned.
In short as a few of you have stated, Yamaha has clearly been aware of this issue with the older models.

I don't want the Yamaha engineers going off and committing Seppuku or Harakiri just would like some feedback from Yam good or bad.
I am off to send them an email.

Received a mailer kickback for Jay Nakayama in japan, but the Yamaha USA went through.
I am serious about why it was played down by Yamaha and a completely new basket was slipped into the 2014 model under the radar.
Likely cost effective issues?
