Yes it worked. Installed the 2014 basket today and took it out for a 20 mile ride and the results are SMOOTH. Almost too easy - makes me skeptical ahh just a little. Anyway, the install went well. There were a couple of differences with the baskets; 1) the 2014 is heavier, and 2) it has a longer casting diameter and shorter what they call "dogs" compared to the 2012. You can see in the attached picture by the difference of the turned diameter. Overall length is the same though. All other dimensions are the same as well.

Will be doing more extensive riding this week and hopefully no issues will surface, but so far it looks like it's going to be well worth the "investment". ::022::

Ok, I'm confused. The 2014 basket is the one on the left in the upper picture, but the one that looks more "stout" is on the right in the lower picture. Yes?

I was looking at that as well and came to the same conclusion.

I'm getting a few conflicting reports on arrival... I've been told 7-15................... after poking around more, I was told 8-22...................... and by another source 9-21.................

I'm sure it has to do with how many were ordered, when, Etc......



Do you know your expected delivery date ? Post it up...............

I was just told August something. I don't know the exact day because I wasn't paying close attention. I just wanted to get my order in before Mother Yamaha figures out the pricing snafu. There is no way in living hell that part is only supposed to be $33 and change ???

I saw that and assumed he just had the baskets reversed in the second pic.

I just received an update on my order.

The part is on a nationwide back order through Yamaha with an estimated release date of 07.17.14.

I ordered mine online from the local dealer on June 21st and received arrival dates of June 23 - June 26 on the order acknowledgement. Then on June 23rd received a phone call from my dealer asking if I would like to cancel the order because the arrival date has changed to July 17th. My response "do not cancel". Waiting a few more weeks isn't a deal breaker for me.

Was it just a left hand-right hand weight difference or did you have a good scale handy? It sure looks much stouter. A bit more rotational mass could very well be a good thing off road, and on. I am starting to look forward to this thing showing up. 8)

Yeah it was left hand-right hand. My wife has this new scale that would not register because it requires a minimum weight ::010:: Could definitely feel the weight difference though.

I've been using the Barnnett for about 18 Mo now. You can for sure feel the cdifference. I've enjoyed the upgrade. Other customers have reported the same positive response.

I jumped on the basket bandwagon and placed an order with Stadium Yamaha back on June 13.
Recieved a phone call from them today (voice mail) stating that the basket is being drop shipped from Japan.
I would hazaed a guess thrre are probably a few more in the shipment.
No word on actual delivery.

I just called Yamaha Parts Nation and they told me it's no longer on their back order list so it on the way to them now. He said they should have by the end of the week and will ship it out right away and email me a tracking number. ;D

Jumped on the bandwagon with Cycle Parts Warehouse. Basket is back-ordered (duh!) with a delivery date of 8/22. Asked me via email if I wanted to cancel, told them no, leave part on order and ship in August. No mention of pricing or not being able to deliver due to pricing. Standing by until then...keep the reports coming in.

Ordered one too

since the price is so darn cheap. I've done the clutch lever check and notice the difference in vibs. For less than $40, seems like a good move! Est. delivery between 10-15 Jul from Stadium.

Stadium Yamaha charged my credit card, but I've heard zero since I ordered 3 weeks back, but if they tried calling, I try my best to never have a phone on me. Hopefully get the part sooner or later since it's paid for.

I got the same voice mail from Stadium yesterday. That it's being drop shipped from Japan, and that it will get here two or three days after the scheduled delivery date. Except, I never got a scheduled delivery date from them to begin with. So I guess I'll just see it when I see it. I'll still be shocked if it shows up on my doorstep without a notice of pricing error, but it looks like that's what may happen! Keeping fingers crossed...
