Many thanks to all who have posted on this thread and contributed to help on the installation of this upgrade to our bikes ... now wait until I measure the final speed ... without PCV and AT and with catalyzer I was able to get 210 km/hr ... without cat I couldn´t because I noticed some unbalance so I tuned the throttles with the harmonizer and then I received the PCV and AT ... stopped everything and enjoyed this awsome upgrade.
Cheers,
Roberto

Yes, both of you guessed right. What I said was very tongue-n-cheek, but there's no sarcasm emoticon ::013:: I think the dude that started that final drive temp thread was so worried that he was shooting an IR thermometer at the FD. :D I wonder if he stops every 10 minutes or so to let it cool down ::025::
Hey Tremor38, I'm the dude who started the final drive temp thread.

How silly of me for posting my concerns and findings with my first final drive bike in an effort to gain knowledge and understanding, (one of the reasons I joined this forum). I guess my posting of the temperature reading I took was absolutely useless as all anyone needed to do was to refer to our resident final drive expert. (That's you right?)

Perhaps you can put together a list of other Super Tenere idiosyncrasies for us less educated folk so that we may learn what is normal and what is not. (I'm sure you've owned your S10 long enough to know everything there is to know about it right?) It sure would save a lot of time searching and posting.

I know I can't wait for more words of wisdom from one of the Masters. ::017::

Guys, lets keep it nice..................K

I have learned a lot from this forum about this bike including other things related to bikes. No question is dumb. We all have different levels of bike knowledge.

I have over 40 years of racing and riding and I am always learning

Very true!

Way back when I started riding we called Dual Sport bikes Combo bikes as in combination….street & trail. My 1st bike was a 1970 CT-70, then a 1971 SL-175 then a string of Suzuki TS-250’s and 400 before I switched to Yamahas in 1976.

Where Tabasco mounted them, although I have my PC V stuck against the battery below the rubber band that holds the battery in place.

You blew it and CANNOT have a PCV and Autotune!!!!! Forget it!

Kidding, you'll either have to find another place to put them or remount your power strip and grounding buss ::003::

I worked my azz off on the strip and ground buss, nicely routed OE looking wiring, IT AINT MOVING.

I guess I may have to give up the under seat storage. unless there may be some room under the radiator side cover? I have not had that off yet. Anyone else?

Have you started to ride your bike yet ? Make sure to set you CO settings back to zero.... Other wise you will double fuel in areas and start chasing your tail on a fuel map.... Let us know how it works out.......

We need to get with Venture and start a MAP thread we can have a ~STICKY MAPS~ so we can add and down load maps to try......

Out here in the desert of California, we called them 'Enduros'....my first being a 1972 Suzuki TS-250 Savage! Loved that bike and nothing that a silly young teenager could do that bike would kill it. Heck, it's probably still going strong somewhere!

Yes, for sure.
Im currently working on the map for the 13.2 AFR... After this is find tuned I will move to a 13.4 / 13.6 / 13.8 and so on to about 14.0 maybe 14.2.... Once I see all of these maps I will be able to look at all the data / power / fuel / Etc. At that point I will be close to adding the two maps to the PCV. I then will have a "power map" and a "fuel economy" map I will be able to flip back and forth on the fly...... I would like to do more home work on the (optimizer), dyno jet has this set at 13.6 as a "in the middle" AFR for a lot of conditions. I would like to take control of the target area that the optimizer has control over. If we could have full control over this area I think we could obtain better throttle response, more power (if so desired) or better fuel economy (if desired)... I want control over this area..... The AT is doing its job though and I really like the package so far. Great bike, great power, I love it ! !

I'm gonna call Hans, my tuner and order the AT from him, while I have him on the phone I'll ask him how to gain control over the optimizer reserved area when using AT.

Thank you Kees! This will be great info. Hopefully he can help us out. I am putting my AT on this afternoon.

One thing I noticed in looking at your map done by Hans and also with the two H&T maps that were done for Taffcd, the target AFR table has the exact same numbers and the ones that were left as zeros are exactly the same.
I have to assume this is on purpose from two separate tuners, unless the map that I am looking at from you was based on Taffcd's map as a combination of the two maps. I can't remember if the two were combined.
There are a number of cells that are zeroed out which means the AT will not function in those cells. More than likely, these are ranges that the motor would never be in.

Jaxon's map had inputs in all cells. This is something to keep in mind as we set our target AFR tables. Also, the 40% range at 1750 - 2250rpm varies between zero input as the closed loop area and some other number for AFR.
