Some people have pull the fuse or i believe have a mod that turns it off. But most of us ride with it on. Once you understand how it works and its limitations there is really no problem. I did the entire alpine loop with no problems.

Hi Bob, Bill here, we spoke in lot @Comfort Inn. I did it all with abs. Jaxon and Tall Gears had theirs off when off pavement if I remember correctly. That being said, there were a couple of spots I would have liked to try w/o abs but made it through fine with.
Thanks for the tip on the roads to and around Grand Junction, fun trip.

I still have my ABS, I like it. Tallgears has a switch to turn his off.

Trying to recreate the "flavor" of the rally week for the wives.
Gotta admit, can't get there 100% without all you loonies here to introduce them to.

Brenda has spent many hours with me on the back of a Tenere. But never anything really challenging off road. So I started with an easier type day to see how she did.
My only real error was not bringing water. Nearly dehydrated her. (She never complained)

Last dollar run was the perfect tryout. She loved it.

She just finished reading the book "Happy Happy Happy"
She says these horses are Happy Happy Happy

Man Ouray has a hook in me bad.

Your right Karson. We stayed an extra week around the Ouray area and did not touch the many miles of roads in that area. We will have to go back someday. ::001::

I noticed you haven't visited the east coast, you welcome to come visit and will have a place to stay

There are some nice roads up the east coast too ;D

Snake- I showed my wife your post and she goes, "Awww. Colorado was really, really awesome. But most of all, I kinda miss the people."

Since we took possession in March 2012, she always thought I was a little off the reservation for being this "active", for lack of a better word, on a forum. I kept telling her she just doesn't get it

Anyway, now that she's had a chance to understand what happens when close to 100 Tenerista's meet up, she gets it. Heck, I've even caught her browsing the site from time to time
