Sorry for the tardiness, just got home last night, spent the remaining vacation time in Moab, Mesa Verde, Four Corners, and did an "Official IBA Ride" from Santa Rosa, NM to NOLA.

Anyway, below are some crime scene photo's from the Uncompraghre Divide Road. That lovely little 90 mile trek from Ridgeway to Whitewater, in the the words of Oilfield Trash (Eric), "Damn Gingered bastard lied to us!"

The names have not been changed to protect the guilty ::013::

TwoLukes, Oilfield Trash, MemphisDan, Hernia, and CDMartin884

Oilfield Trash - Eric

Hernia - Dave

MemphisDan - Dan

TwoLukes - Luke

CDMartin884 - Me

The meandering of folks who thought it was 40mile gravel road over the "Divide," but soon realized they were not even half way ::010::

It's never ending

But the views were inspiring, starting out in aspen and spruce of Ouray, and ending in red rock just south of Grand Junction, but damn that ginger bearded US Forest Service dude!

At the risk of rubbing it in, just made it back to you know where?
2 weeks with the wives this time. And a truck for hot desert "transport" legs.

Just caught a late dinner of Shepard's Pie and Fish n Chips at Obrien's in town.
66 degrees. Tents are set with air mattress this time.

Ok men, FJR Blues Bob here. My wife and I were there at the Rally. Noob question. Did some of you have the ABS off coming down the steep stuff, ie switches or trickery. Or is it duable with ABS engaged. We were at the Comfort Inn, so only got to meet a few of you good people. Thanks everyone, it was fun. The FJR did fine on the Last Dollar RD. No problem coming down the steep-no ABS.

Went to Engineer Pass with ABS and didn't like it at all, pulled the fuse for next day so I could drag the back wheel into switchbacks and turns like you would on a dirt bike. I found switchbacks scary with the ABS cutting in and out. On another note, here's what I did to my Tenere Sunday...slow speed tip over (jeep brake checked me) right before part 1 of video.

And that was a trip of a lifetime, thanks to everybody there but especially my wife for letting me go!

AVGeek - Is that hill climb at 4:00 in part I of Cinnamon Pass the most difficult part? I will be there in a few weeks and will be 2-up on the S10. The wife may have to walk up that section.

Also, what about Engineer Pass and Imogene Pass? How difficult are they?
MrTwisty, I don't recommend Imogene on a Tenere, especially not 2 up. A group of 6 of us tried it. Only 4 made it over by the hair of their chinny-chin-chin. I broke lots of parts. Still paying for it. All agreed later it was no fun - stupid hard with lots of baby heads and really loose dirt on steep inclines with switchbacks. Might be fun with a 450 dirt bike by yourself. Ophir, on the other hand, was a blast, as was Last Dollar Road. I didn't ride Engineer, so no comment.

Here is a short cut down version of Valley Of the Gods we road a few weeks ago.... For people who have not been out to Mexican Hat, UT this is as much as You Tube will allow to down load... What I cut out was some long straight aways, but you will get the idea.. If you have a chance to ride this I would suggest it ! I have more videos im working on from Colorado......

Obviously the scenery is fantastic, but the road itself was more interesting than I would have expected. Thanks for posting. ::008::
