Great pictures Snake!!! It never hurts to have a beautiful lady in them to spruce them up.
You'll always be on the top step of the podium in my book.

Steve

Those are more powerful words than you know!

I can finally leave Ouray. :)

Brenda says she has to meet the fella\folks that got me so dang determined.
Said I've been a man on a mission.

This fella says it's been a bit quieter since all the Teneres left.

Got new shoes. (Mileage check so others can see how they wear)

I'm really gonna miss that Big Block!
That thing had Rock Crawler in its DNA.
Fantastic tire for this area.

But, as everyone knows, most adventure rides, for Texans at least, include lengthy tarmac runs to get to the off road challenge. That's just suicide for that Big Block.

But ever I revisit these parts, I will have a Big Block waiting here for me. I got about 1000 miles of FUN out of it.

I figure it cost about $10-15 a day to ride it in the mix of mountain tarmac\mountain rock trails. Worth every single penny in my book.

Hey Bill, Chickengrease, coastie, TABASCO, Thanks for the imput on ABS on the dirt passes. Seems to be a 50/50 split on like and dislike. It's try it and decide for yourself, I reckon.

Bill, I thought I recognized you on the Colorado National Monument going south, as we were going north. It was way too hot, but really beautiful. I'll bet you are riding with the Wet Vest down your way this week.

The choice of using the KOA in Ouray for the rally was a home run!
Great place. Great staff.
It was obvious they chose to employ "seniors" to run the operation. I found that outstanding! And really enjoyed the gentle approach they all had towards their serving us.

To get to Ouray from Durango, you were treated to 75 miles of non-stop this:

The KOA grounds rest right in this valley. I took this shot just bit before you get to the entrance.

Here are some shots of the campground to give a feel for the place. We Tenerestas owned the place. :)

Around every corner you saw this kind of site. It is hard to capture in one shot how it looks to nestle S10's in every nook n cranny.

One of my favorite rides back from the Liquor store and the Mini version of Whole Foods (Whole Paycheck we call it) at Ridgway heading back to Ouray, love this stretch of road at dusk nice fresh air and knowing your going to throw down some Suds and Steak for the night! ::003::
I am closer to getting my Terene soon have money in hand from my Triumph settlement.. ::008::

Anybody camp at Molas Lakes?

Snake, really awesome pictures. That road really makes me understand what a mistake I made by not going to Colorado. Meeting you, your lovely wife, and riding those jaw dropping, spectacular roads. I feel like I missed a lot. I will not make that mistake again.

My wife has been checking all the photo in this thread and so far I'm happy to say nothing has scared her off from thinking it's too much for her to do on the Tenere. There have been a few where she's said, "you can ride it over that section for me." But overall she's up for it, so we'll be heading to Colorado sooner or later. ::012::

Fantastic photos, guys. Looks like an awesome event you had there.

The Colorado mountains are way steeper and ruffer than pictures make it look.
Just ask all the guys that couldn't make it over some of the passes.

LOL.
That sounds so appropriate for some of them "county roads".

And yes, I haven't seen a picture yet that actually reveals the challenge.
However, they do a good job of showing the beauty.

I'm hopelessly addicted to the area now. I suspect it is as much the relief from my hometown summer HEAT. But it's more than that. I could ride in all directions, tarmac or off road. Doesn't matter. It's Tenere heaven.

Sittin in a campsite on the Arkansas river today. Drinking a root beer and watching the rafters go by. The mountain roads getting here from Ouray were spectacular.

I gotta go home sometime though. Right?
