My bizarre & seemingly unsolvable cruise control issues...hoping for new ideas.

'14 ES owner here with the blinking issue as well (40K miles). Haven't been able to narrow it down yet, but the issue does seem to be getting worse. When it first happened I went right for the front brake light switch, cleaned it up, blew it out and lubricated the lever pivot. That seemed to...

'14 Tenere ES Valve Check, now it won't start.

Checked the valves on my '14 Tenere ES and now it won't start, getting fault code 060 (YCC-T drive system, malfunction detected). From the service manual pg 8-69, TS guide: 1. Throttle servo connector is connected and I get power to one of the pins with the key on so it's getting power to the...

    Picked up an FJR1300 today

Loved my '06 FJR, just didn't get the love it needed, rode the Wee much more. I loved the pull of the FJR though and it satisfied my need for speed, no longer needed now that I have the S10, bye bye FJR.

I had a similar issue with the neck cord thingy on my Klim. Once I tightened it all was well.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Packed her up for the maiden voyage. Heading out in an hour or two for 5 days of riding the WV mountains. The Wee looks kinda sad, old girl and I have spent 70K miles and 7 happy years together. Oh oh, looks like Photobucket doesn't like me anymore, too many pics of the new girl friend.......

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Performed the 600 mile service: Of course one of the washers came off and fell into the drain pan: Next was the rear end, not too much crud on the magnet: oil was pretty cruddy looking: Used one of these to refill the rear gear, works very well:

1st oil change 600 miles or earlier?

Doing mine tomorrow at 600 and even that seems too early. But it's per the manual .

    spokes

Re: Loose spokes ? What do you mean by "loose", actually flopping around loose or getting a few degrees movement with a wrench? I just hit all mine with a torque wrench (first check at 600 miles) and got a few degrees movement on several. Not what I'd call loose but they did need some tightening.

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Removed my Altrider skid plate in preps for my oil change tomorrow. Gonna do a short ride to get to 600 miles so I wanted it ready to go. While I was out there I checked all the spokes, used a torque wrench and got a few degrees movement on most. Some were already there but the majority did...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Planned on the spokes, what's to check on the nut, just tightness or verify bearings are properly adjusted? Just checked the manual, got it.

    Altrider?

+1, I recently bought tip over bars, skid plate and a rear rack. Web site was fine and the stuff shipped super fast. Also, got a million emails along the way describing where my stuff was. Happy customer here. Oh BTW, the packaging was ridiculously good, every inch was wrapped and double...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Found the source of my vibration. My hands were going to sleep on the 10 mile ride to work. Thought maybe the Altrider bars were causing it. Come to find out the rear engine bolt on the right side was just about finger tight. Guess I didn't tighten it up enough when I installed the Altrider...
