Made up a dash shelf using a piece of melamine that I've had laying around for 20 years. Initially made it from AL but the piece I had was too thin so it flexed quite a bit. The melamine is much stronger.

Currently it's home to a constant hot 12V outlet.

how did you attact the shelf on the right side? I have some scrap pieces of alu and a plasma cutter .
I cut a wide slot the same width as the diameter of the factory outlet and used the nut from the factory outlet to clamp it. Works well.

Today, I paid for my wonderfully blue 2014 Super Tenere @ Power Yamaha in Sublimity Oregon. She spent the day in the service department having heated grips installed, tomorrow @ 09:00 I will be standing at the door with helmet in hand to take total possession of her. She's MINE! Now, I can FARKLE her whenever I want! I'm now officially a Super Tenere Owner!

Torqued my spokes today and was surprised how many were not tight, they sounded fine with the screwdriver trick, but torque wrenches don't lie. Id say 20-30% for both wheels.

Did you check your wheels for being true?

This weekend, I went with a good friend and GS enthusiast for our maiden rainy day rides on our new machines... We went through the "hills" to Alice's and then on to the Progressive Bike Show in San Mateo. I won't say he was ready to trade it in - but I did catch a blurry cam of him modelling the 2015 ES ::025:: -- identities protected to help him hide his shame among his other GS buddies... ::022::

Spinning both, they look perfect. The spokes that were loose would turn 1/2 to 3/4 of a full turn. I bought my S10 used at 2200 miles it came with zip ties on the rear wheel spokes, so maybe the PO had prior issues. It has nearly 10,000 now with the majority being 2UP. Something to keep an eye on for sure.

If I understand correctly the zip ties are to keep a broken spoke from loosely flopping around until it is discovered.

I left my heated grips on thinking they turned off with the key ( I only got the XTZ750 a short time ago ) and had to wait for my daughter to come and help me jump start the bike after I flattened the battery!

New boots.

First impressions are more then positive. Compared to E09 this tire corners like a slick. Vibes and vining are part of the history.
Next test will be on the wet tarmac, where E09 was rubbish.
No offroad yet...
