Had the dealer do the 600 mile service. Clean bill of health. About to install the Madstad windshield adjuster on my tall shield. Hope that gets ride of the in your face airflow that I have currently.
Don't forget to check your spokes, steering stem nut and give the bike a good going over for loose fasteners.roger123 said:Bought oil, filter and gear oil for my 600 mile service that I'm doing on Monday.
Planned on the spokes, what's to check on the nut, just tightness or verify bearings are properly adjusted?EricV said:Don't forget to check your spokes, steering stem nut and give the bike a good going over for loose fasteners.
As you probably found out, it's just a re-torquing routine in case they are loose, which is not uncommon with the Super Ten when new. I found my nut finger tight at 800 miles.roger123 said:Planned on the spokes, what's to check on the nut, just tightness or verify bearings are properly adjusted?
Just checked the manual, got it.
Was this free or did it cost you?....something I forgot to ask about when I bought my bike.cory1848 said:Had the dealer do the 600 mile service. Clean bill of health. What, did you guys want me to leave it on a bit longer?Don in Lodi said:::026:: ???
It just needed a few more runs on the pig trail to wear those sides down a tad. ::001::oKLRider said:What, did you guys want me to leave it on a bit longer?
Hahahhahahahah, funny. The last time you and I discussed cornering (when I posted ground peg pics for a gag), you told me that tire wear/use (aka chicken strips) had nothing to do with technique/skill....yet I post a K60 with no edge titties left and I'm still doing it wrong.EricV said:It just needed a few more runs on the pig trail to wear those sides down a tad. ::001::
See, you got the inside joke too! I have only 4 ways out of town, one of which is mildly interesting, the others all lead to the interstate. So yeah, I square off a lot of tires too.oKLRider said:Hahahhahahahah, funny. I only wish the pig trail, or similar, was in my back yard though.
