Had the dealer do the 600 mile service. Clean bill of health. About to install the Madstad windshield adjuster on my tall shield. Hope that gets ride of the in your face airflow that I have currently.

I orderd my World Crosser sticker kit from Jaxon at RideOnAdv.com. Great service, and he took time to answer all of my questions.

Rode the Angeles Crest Highway end-to-end as the San Gabriel Mtns on north side of Los Angeles were being given national monument status by Mr. Obama at the bottom of the hill. Fearful the speed limits are going to be reduced:'(

Bought oil, filter and gear oil for my 600 mile service that I'm doing on Monday.
Don't forget to check your spokes, steering stem nut and give the bike a good going over for loose fasteners.

Planned on the spokes, what's to check on the nut, just tightness or verify bearings are properly adjusted?

Just checked the manual, got it.

Finally found some time, and took the bike out for a few hours on roads that it had been quite some time since I've been on.
Managed to put on 241 miles, all but 19 of them off the interstate, and loved every one of them!

As you probably found out, it's just a re-torquing routine in case they are loose, which is not uncommon with the Super Ten when new. I found my nut finger tight at 800 miles.

Was this free or did it cost you?....something I forgot to ask about when I bought my bike.

Removed my Altrider skid plate in preps for my oil change tomorrow. Gonna do a short ride to get to 600 miles so I wanted it ready to go.

While I was out there I checked all the spokes, used a torque wrench and got a few degrees movement on most. Some were already there but the majority did take a slight tightening.

Also got out my trip stuff and started going through it in preps for my upcoming trip to WV, leaving on Wednesday for five days riding VA and WV back roads. Looking forward to finally getting the bike out where it belongs.

I took it out for what may be it's last run of the year, a little 40 mile trundle through Northumberland. Due to a holiday (oh the hardship) I'll not get a chance to ride it until November now, once the salt goes on the road then it's bedtime until spring.

Now that I have a new to me 2013 I had to start personalizing and Farkling it up. Started with my Helmet and installed a Sena S20 Bluetooth system. Then went to work on the bike. Since I like to do Moto support for Cycling events I knew 4 way flashers were gonna be a must. I ordered a Euro Turn, light switch cluster that our bikes should have came factory with and switched them out. Doing the switch gives you 4 way flashers and a flash to pass. Super easy swap that took maybe a half hour which includes the soldering to have flash to pass. If you don't care about flash to pass its a direct plug and play. Then I installed some Oxford Adventure Heated Grips. They were nice because they are the perfect size for the Tenere. No trimming needed. Once grips were installed I put on my Omni Cruise. It's my favorite Mechanical cruise. Easy to use and just plain works for what I need. Next up I installed the Touratech windscreen adjustable bracket. Then since I am 6'4 I added the Givi AirFlow windscreen onto the Touratech bracket. Then I added a Zumo 660 onto the Touratech adjustable windscreen cross bar. Next up I put a Ram X Mount that will hold my Iphone. Next I installed the Eastern Beaver PC8 fuse box for all my electrical accessories. I also had a custom wiring harness built from Eastern Beaver to hook up to the battery. I also ran an SAE plug up to my Wolfman Rainier Tank bag so that I can power accessories in my tank bag. I can charge my Phone, Sena or anything else I need from in there. Then I installed my AltRider crash bars. Then on top of my Wolfman Tank Bag I put a Clear Clipboard with a Grease pencil that I can write directly on and a Stop Watch. This helps when doing support for cycling event so I can write down riders numbers and give time splits when needed. It's easily removed when I don't need it.

Only thing I have left to do is to install my 2" Rox Risers and the Extra length brake lines from Jaxon. Have been putting this off but think I will tackle it this week. Will be nice for standing. Here are a few photo's of my bike......

And one photo of my Wilier with my Yamaha..

Already have it on the rack for the clutch basket, tensioner, and valve check...so I pulled the rear wheel for a new skid.

~9500mi on the K60. Mainly highway and gravel mix, none easy. :)

What, did you guys want me to leave it on a bit longer? :D
It just needed a few more runs on the pig trail to wear those sides down a tad. ::001::

Hahahhahahahah, funny. The last time you and I discussed cornering (when I posted ground peg pics for a gag), you told me that tire wear/use (aka chicken strips) had nothing to do with technique/skill....yet I post a K60 with no edge titties left and I'm still doing it wrong. :D

I only wish the pig trail, or similar, was in my back yard though. :)

See, you got the inside joke too! :D I have only 4 ways out of town, one of which is mildly interesting, the others all lead to the interstate. So yeah, I square off a lot of tires too.

Haha! Suddenly my worn Tourance nexts didn't look so bad. I hate how k60s handle when they get that squared off. Not so sure I'd show it off like a merit badge if I let them get that bad.
