Haha! Suddenly my worn Tourance nexts didn't look so bad. I hate how k60s handle when they get that squared off. Not so sure I'd show it off like a merit badge if I let them get that bad.
Wow. I try to post up some real world tire wear for prospective K60 buyers, and suddenly it turns into a 'merit badge' and or I need to ride differently. :p

I'm surprised no one has given me advice on how to clean my wheels yet. Anyone else? :D

Performed the 600 mile service:

Of course one of the washers came off and fell into the drain pan:

Next was the rear end, not too much crud on the magnet:

oil was pretty cruddy looking:

Used one of these to refill the rear gear, works very well:

Oddly enough, it doesn't bother me at all. And dry traction is great with a worn K60. I've railed some of my local fun canyon roads on a worn K60 w/o feeling like I was pushing it, and less TCS light blinking than if I tried it on a fresh one. But I've worn out a bunch of K60 with pavement riding, usually about 12k each. Guess I'm just used to the characterisitics. ::001::

@oKLRider - If we didn't like you, we wouldn't tease you. ::008::

"1) Wet the already cooled wheels with warm, not hot, soapy water. 2) Use a soft brush..." :D

I was not being disparaging... I was in awe of such a thorough thrashing of a tire. Well done, Sir!!!

Nothing done to my Tenere as it is still in for warranty work and awaiting a back ordered parts. But I did ride a KTM 690 EnduroR yesterday - could be a horribly expensive mistake!!!

Hope you get your S10 back soon. FYI.... Rumbux has crash bars for the 690, and I have some coming in shortly as well. (not for my garage, though) :-\

Getting ready for our trip to the Super Tenere rally. Helped my friend put the new clutch basket in his 2012. An improvement, but not as smooth as a 14, we both agreed after a comparison ride.

Packed her up for the maiden voyage. Heading out in an hour or two for 5 days of riding the WV mountains. The Wee looks kinda sad, old girl and I have spent 70K miles and 7 happy years together.

Oh oh, looks like Photobucket doesn't like me anymore, too many pics of the new girl friend.......
