SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAD TO USE ALL 8 OF YOUR HANDS. CAN‘T WAIT TO HEAR WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THE FLASH.
Since I only rode the bike for maybe 10 miles on the test ride I am going to have the prior owner take it for a spin and get his opinion too. I'll let you guys know.
I just bit the big one... I ordered Traxxion Dynamics suspension AK-20 kit. If I move on to an African Twin someday (which after doing much reading is becoming doubtful) I can move it over to the AT and just pay for different springs... ordering a K&N air filter as long as I am in there. I really don't like the AltRider bars if I have to almost remove them to get the left side panel off. Such is life!

Well, I ordered some stuff, went to Rockford, IL and bought a T-fitting to get ready to adjust the TBS. Came home and fell into a rabbit hole! 3.5 hrs later it's 12:40 am! I've read about sticky shifters, valve adjustment, and other things that I can't remember... oh, flashing ECU's causing lower temperatures when the fan kicks on. All interesting but where did the time go! Back to reality and to bed! Tomorrow is here. Bought some DOT 4 today too. Hopefully in the garage tomorrow. Enjoyed your posts and sharing of knowledge!

Got home went out into the garage and changed out the coolant and flushed it with a quart of distilled water. It had been in there fir 6 yrs. Still looked good but 6 yrs is long enough. Pulled a vacuum on the system to 26" and let it sit for 10 minutes. Never lost any vacuum. Then vacuum filled it and topped off the overflow. Used my vacuum pump to empty it. Same pump for bleeding brakes. Bought years ago... cheap from Menard's before Menard's was big. Then took the headlight assembly loose to replace the aux bulbs with LED. Put it all back together. Then went after the headlights to replace them with LEDS... just can't fit the ballast anywhere! Took it all apart again. Do you guys just buy LEDS with smaller ballast ? There are bolts on the back of the headlight assembly. Can you split it and then put the ballast in? I'll search on here for more info but right now it's not looking good.
Used my 1/4" drive Snap On torque wrench tonight on the coolant drain bolt at 7.2 pounds or in/lbs. Lots of bolts on this around 10 pounds. Love it.
Was cozy in the garage while snow and 30 mph winds going through... Spring is just around the corner though!

I have the cyclops LED and the ballast fits inside the bulb cavity , but it also comes with the bigger caps .... the ballast is slimmer than the ones in your photo.
I looked at the cyclops just now and didn't see anything about caps. Do you have a link?

Congratulations on your steal of a deal. You got the best color too.:). Seems our other steeds are very similar. 1993 Ninja ZX11 and 1997 Goldwing. The 3 motorcycles fill all the needs. Lookin forward to reading about your new Tenere adventures. Have fun.View attachment 99033
I had a 1991 Goldwing SE. Wonderful bike. Especially with aftermarket springs up front and a rebuilt air shock in the back and a Progressive aftermarket shock left rear. Made a huge difference in comfort and handling. ZX11 has got to be fun too! I'll be posting rides. 1st one end of March in West Virginia.
