I thought I had just about made up my mind on the Holan Panniers but the Jesse panniers look very good.

I like the look of the Holans better but the Jesses hold much more and are built to take a beating.

Would you mind telling me what the total width is?
I measured mine at 36 5/8" across the back, and 36 3/4" across the front. I only used the large spacer where the racks mount through the passenger grab-handles. I REALLY wanna pull the grab-handles but it seems like the left side rack will have clearance issues with the muffler/ cover.

The parts needed to do this mod are listed below.

$44.95 - http://techspec-usa.com/product_info.php?cPath=475_482&products_id=447&osCsid=3863151bfc2d2013bd83520836408a58

$ 8.21 - http://www.strapworks.com/Metal_Footman_Loop_p/mfl-b.htm

$ 8-10 - various stainless steel pan head screws, washers, and nylock nuts at Lowes

I have yet to try it out, but I think these will be a great addition to the SuperTen and it was fun to start the farkling process.
Thanks for the good illustration and the links. I'm going to imitate you-- just ordered the needed hardware!

When you pull the handles, you add spacers to make up the difference, or slightly less to snug things up.

After having Jesse's on a GS and Givi's on a VStrom, I went with the Givi's. They just work for me and I really like their functionality. Topcase only when I'm commuting, I've only driven my truck to work 10 days since 1 Oct 12. ::003::

Trying to get a little dirt on the bike, arriving at camp in the Virginia Mountains....

Although they are wider than what I would like, I am planing to buy a set of those as I do not care for squared boxes.
How is the 2up riding with those E41 bags?

According to my wife of 25 years, the bags work great for her as pillion. They don't impede on her leg/foot space. She has quite a bit of room to stretch her legs and reposition her feet without the bags getting in the way.

I don't find them too wide. On my VStrom, they really did stick out, but not so much on the S10. They are just slightly wider than the handlebars. I"ve got some other photo's (rear and front shots) I think, if you want to see them.

Anybody try the Hepco-Becker Gobi's?
A friend had them on his 990Adv and they seemed pretty durable.
My main concern is getting a pannier that handle a tip over without too much damage.
I'm just not sure the OEM's can do that.
Here is a late response to this one. Had Gobis on my VStrom. Loved them overall and been tempted to use them on the Zebu. Them main issue for me was that they sit a bit high and are wide. I prefer for the bottom of the bags to sit lower and closer to the bike. This is what makes the HT design interesting to me.

That being said, took two spill with the Gobis and they came through with flying colors.

Finally got my Happy Trails 9.5" Tetons mounted up.

I originally mounted the racks the way HT suggests, with grab handles still on the bike, and longer bolts and spacers. I thought it looked like ass, and the bags were too far out.

I removed the passenger grab rails and used the factory (not HT) bolts to mount the racks, which moved them in about 2" total.

This makes for a much more tidy appearance, I think. I did have to cut out a 2" piece and reweld the support that crossed behind the license plate to accomodate the more slim rack.

This makes the total width of the bags 38", which is also the width of the handlebars at their widest point (where the outer part of the handguards are). Perfect size, I didn't want the bags to be wider than the bars... kind of like a cat, if they can get their head in they know the rest of their body will also fit!

Still to come, probably, is a tool tube behind the right bag.

Also, these bags are about 3 years old and have a lot of miles; I took them off my Strom. I do like the black on black look. Reflective stickers are by a buddy of mine who has a sticker making outfit on the side.

And tires, if anyone is gonna ask, are Shinko 705s.

MGB, great pix, I have the E41 on order as well. What seat are you using, and how better from stock.

I'm pretty sure it's the stock seat, previous owner didn't mention anything aftermarket about it, I'll have to compare it next time I'm at the dealer.

Might be the Yamaha factory low seat. I haven't had the original seat out in a while, but if I remember correctly the appearance was a little different.
