Here's mine. Ed at Happy Trails made me a good deal on these as they were "Scratch and Dent". There was barely one little scratch on one of the lids. Hardly even noticeable. These are the Denali standard cut at 47.5L a piece.

MuffinTop MT1-OC bolted to SW-Motech removable racks...

The available volume is great and top loading is practical. [/size]Fabric shopping bags work great as liners to carry clothes and such into the tent or hotel rooms. Tools & heavy stuff sits in the bottom with no worries about the plastic and very little affect on cg.There are cargo loops on the lids to lash down extra stuff, or to serve as accessible storage for my pillion while riding. The bike falling over has been a non-event, as the black powder coat is really tough and can be touched up with nobody the wiser. And then of course, you have a place for stickers... I don't like to have them on the bike itself, and the removable boxes aren't compound curves.

curently looking at a set of Panniers, but I can't make up my mind.... Jesse's, Metal Mule, Happy Trail.... There's too many.

I've never owned a set of hard luggage, I'm rolling with a Giant Loop Great Bassin at the moment. It's great for solo stuff, but not so great for two up traveling.

I'm more concern by the mounting sturdiness then the look. And I dont care if the racking are ugly wen the pannier are not on,

cuz i'm gonna take 'em off and ride with my Giant loop when I dont need the extra storage.

Sorry, but all I can focus on is the evil dog starring at my soul! ::025::

Seriously though, nice bike!

Here is my Jesse bags. I tried to mount the bags in as close as possible. My Jesse racks are just under 15" wide at the top bar, about 17" at the lower bar. This about as narrow as the Jesse mounts will go, the racks just hit the front seat in the low seat position. The stock muffler and heat shield will not fit. The stock rear rack under the seat was notched to clear the racks.
My Jesse Odyssey II bags are 35-1/2" wide front and rear.

I have the original Yamaha cases. The top case in black and the side cases in the silver color. Only because I could buy them cheap in Germany O:)
I put a sticker on the side cases. Only a few euros but I think it looks good.[smg id=1172 type=preview align=center caption="Side cases"]

I have had my SuperTen in my possession since Dec 12, but thanks to the paperwork run-around from the DMV, I have not been able to get it registered yet - DOH!! But I got all the notarized forms from the seller in the mail today and plan a trek down to the DMV (50 miles roundtrip!) on Monday to get her legal to ride. As frustrating as it has been, we have had noting but cold and snowy weather here so the loss of riding my new-to-me SuperTen has not been as painful as it could have been had the weather been better.

But all this time with the SuperTen in hand and not riding has given me ample opportunity to start farkling. I got a pair of K60's from Jaxon, my Eastern Beaver harness is in the mail and I have everything ready to go for its arrival, and I have been working on tricking out the panniers. My SuperTen had factory side panniers on it from the previous owner. I have HT aluminum boxes on my KLR and at first blush the Yammy factory boxes seem cheap and plastic. However they are already mounted and good to go so I am gonna give them a try and see what happens. One thing that seemed to be missing from the factory cases was a solid means of lashing more gear to the tops of the boxes. So I ordered some of the rubberized box protectors from TechSpec and some black anodized footmans loops and then fabbed up a solution as pictured below.

The parts needed to do this mod are listed below.

$44.95 - http://techspec-usa.com/product_info.php?cPath=475_482&products_id=447&osCsid=3863151bfc2d2013bd83520836408a58

$ 8.21 - http://www.strapworks.com/Metal_Footman_Loop_p/mfl-b.htm

$ 8-10 - various stainless steel pan head screws, washers, and nylock nuts at Lowes

I have yet to try it out, but I think these will be a great addition to the SuperTen and it was fun to start the farkling process.

Anybody try the Hepco-Becker Gobi's?
A friend had them on his 990Adv and they seemed pretty durable.
My main concern is getting a pannier that handle a tip over without too much damage.
I'm just not sure the OEM's can do that.

Received and mounted my Holan Nomada Pro Panniers from ADV Mototrrad, see pannier details and photos below. These are solid, good looking Panniers and well worth the money. The only complaint I have is there should be drawings in the instructions. Its a very simple installation, but took way too long to install without drawings. Jason has been great to deal with and I'm sure he'll get the instructions issue sorted out.

Size: 45 ltrs
Color: Aluminum
Rack: Powdercoated Black
Total Weight: ~33 lbs
Mounted width: 38 inches
Opening width: ~12.25 inches
Opening Length: ~19.5 inches
Depth: ~15.25 inches

Notes: left and right side panniers are about 1/4 inch different in width and depth, so I averaged them above. Weight was taken on a bathroom scales, so not sure of accuracy, but close enough. Hand rails come off, but are replaced by the rack design. This brings he cases closer to the bike.

Looks good AfghanSteve. I tried to go with them but the distributor and Holan had "issues" when I needed them.

I hope (and expect) that they will serve you well.

Steve, nice work! Good feedback on the instructions, and definitely something I'm working on with the factory. If I can find a local Super Tenere owner this summer, I'll also try to do a short install video.

Terry, sorry you had issues with the prior distributor. I think there were some factory supply issues outside of his control at the time, but it seems that's been addressed...they've been very responsive to my requests. I'm also trying to keep more stock on hand in New York and am submitting orders every 15 days to expedite delivery timeframe.

Thanks again!

Jason, Glad to hear I really liked the product and agree that it was beyond the previous distributors control and they finally decided that they could not support an unresponsive manufacturer. The only thing I was able to get was the bag liners! Luckily they fit the TTs just fine.

Cheers!

I really like the look of the OEM Tenere paniers, and they've worked well for me. Now that my wife is getting into 2-up touring and moto-camping, I need more capacity. Jesse Luggage 10" Odyssey II are on the way. So I'll probably have to put the OEM kit up for sale.
