My guess is we might not have more for a couple of months, but will depend on stock. Unfortunately, due to the freight guys getting a little overzealous with the boxes, I only got one or two sets through in our last shipment unscathed. I can get some pictures of the scratches on Monday...they're really not too bad, but I always want to set the right expectation (and probably be a bit conservative) before sending 'em out the door.patrickg450 said:I have 2 items............
going to buy the headlight guard and the upper crash bars.
How long until you get some shiny new ones? not sure if will get the discount or wait. got any good pictures to see depth of scratches?
Awesome - glad we could get you setup Mayfly, and thanks for the feedback!Mayfly-1970 said:I installed my "cosmetically challenged" (looked great to me) upper crashbars onto the Yamaha engine guard. The new design with the relocation of the rear mount back onto the OEM guard is a great improvement, it totally eliminates any issues with the previous complaints of the bars being close to your knees. It also keeps the bar off of the frame mounting location, which could transfer energy to an expensive spot to repair.
I also use my upper bars to throw my legs on, bonus- comfy and no additional highway pegs needed. It will also created a good mounting spot for my aux. lights.
I realize this is not a Rumbux solution, but my S10 is not going rock hopping either. I'll use the DRZ for that. It is, however, a great solution if you already have the OEM engine guards and want to improve upon that design.
Thanks rotaryracer for a good product in design and delivery.
Hi carrot - here's some pictures of the new design. We actually didn't know there was a pending change until we received the last order of bars, so it was a bit of a surprise to us too! The front clamp section is still the same, with the rear mounting point moved from the frame to the top of the OEM lower crashbars (a U-shape "captures" the OEM crashbar). It does seem to provide additional knee clearance which was one of the issues for some with the original design, so seems like a good update. I do need to swap out the pictures on our site, as they currently show the old style mount.carrot said:I didn't know that their was a design change could someone post some pics of the new design
