it has been a slow go on my back feeling normal , but this morning I feel wonderful .... ready to do some light trail riding soon . will try to avoid any whiskey.
on a different note decided to do a spray in bed liner on my ram 4x4 . the only mod I've done to the truck since I bought it 5 years ago is add steps as the beast is so very tall ,even at 6'2" I needed them . and that's from stock suspension... may do a level front after that .

The old Dodge. It runs, but the 69D640F9-B6AA-4C92-9F9C-3FE236214E46.jpegtiming is off. Idles great. I’m going to take it to a local diesel mechanic and have him set the injection timing. There are some specialty tools to do the job right. So it’s going to be a couple of weeks to get on his schedule.

lol... I do not know a lot about the dog except that he came from a hoarder situation . Fritz ( I may change his name to scooter ,to me a more playful name )was one of eighty two dogs removed from the elderly mans home . they told me that he walked the dogs and fed the dogs every day ,they were not mistreated. how much money does it take to feed 82 dogs every day ? sad situation . now Fritz/scooter is here . his first 12 hours was him calming down and he did ok . one mess to clean up but that was expected . have to get him into a routine . he is a very sweet dog ,spent most of last night curled up on my lap. he has found his home.
the adoption event went well as of 4 pm yesterday they had 3 dogs waiting . these were larger dogs 60 lbs plus . we had applied at another site and after 20 questions of our character still have not received even a phone call . to me these places want to find homes but then make it a bit intimidating to make it happen . then large adoption fees . yesterday ,an emergency adoption day ,the fee was 50 bucks. they told me in the last week their shelter took in another 80 dogs . they had no room . 2 dogs do well here at our house , but I can see how people get caught up in the hoarder life. my wife and I will probably never buy a breed dog , we are addicted to the rescue dogs .

It’s back to winter here. After a nice spring like week, it’s back to snow. Typical March weather. Mud season.
Good on you for adopting that dog. Dogs are truly one of man’s blessings. We had a dog named Fritz once. He was a drop off, and turned out to be a wonderful dog. Why anyone would abandon him is a mystery to me.

We had a dog we called Hoover , he ate like a vacuum cleaner, just showed up one day and never left . Was great with the kids. And a mystery as why he was alone

We've always had rescues. Ended up with two full-blood Goldens from the pound. We had them at separate time, but they both only lived 10 years. Our mixed breeds have always lived at least 15 years. I'm also a fan of larger dogs. Most of the small ones were dumb as hell. My favorite "mix" of all time is Great Pyrenees & Belgian Malinois. (Pyrenois or Malinees) Belgians are wa-a-a-ay too demanding/uptight for a family pet. The Pyrenees part takes the Malinois "edge" off. And around here, they're more common than I would have ever expected.

I’ve had a dog of one breed or another my entire life. I’ve not seen intelligence tied to size. I had a German Shepard who was sweet, but dumb as a box of rocks. My last two dogs have been dachshunds. Hard to housebreak and stubborn, but extremely intelligent. Don’t eat much and not hard to clean up after.
I had a damn good black lab too, and there is nothing better than hunting birds behind a good dog.

My current Malinees can tell time. At 6p he walks up and looks at me wanting his dinner. He also has a decent vocabulary. Our alarm system will say which door gets opened. He goes to the right one every time. My wife had a Black Lab that could alert when her sugar dropped or rose. Without any training.

I like all dogs , but have moved more to the small dog . less liability , my 8lb chihuahua cant hurt anyone . there were some beautiful larger dogs at the adoption event , but so was OSO, who became Fritz for a day and is now Scooter . and already starting to respond to his new name . the chihuahua has been extremely neutral about the new dog ,no fights so far. was afraid a larger dog might hurt her . and scooter has started to calm down and learn our routine . what's that saying ?" be the kind of person your dog thinks you are ". they are a blessing and they will cause a heart break . but that's life. there is a thread about our dogs some where on the forum . may have to post some pictures there.
little dogs poop little poop , big dogs ,you might need a shovel .
