I'm pretty sure that I had it the week before Christmas. With my shots being up to date, it was not serious at all. I got over it faster/easier than any other cold that I've had. I have to assume it was because of the vaccine.

The fever and appetite kinda indicates the original virus. Omicron is being reported as not having a fever about 50% of the time. But it does include night sweats, no loss of smell, and a loss of appetite. Plus, the normal ordinary cold symptoms. Fingers crossed that it is Omicron.

I have had double shots , so I be vaccinated .... this morning my temp says 99.1 .... noon will be 48 hours ....

life can be hard , and I'm not trying to complain to much but this past month has sucked ..... lost my dog right before Christmas , whiskey throttled my ass on to the light duty at work list , and as was about to take my brand new mack for a test spin , fever and back to the couch. very annoying to say the least.

this last photo shows its ready for a ride , so I took the picture and because I was feeling suddenly kinda flush , took my temperature... so I reported it to my manager and he said see you in 5 days .... lol, now I know how to get off when I need to ..... the way the company is organized I work for the shop , had 4 mechanics out Thursday and Friday with fevers .... I spent 2 days in the shop helping the remaining mechanic get this truck ready and I wore a mask. go figure. probably got dosed at church on Sunday ,lobby was full of people.

about the Covid variant I might have as far as feeling bad its not as bad as when cedar fever is kicking hard and heavy . and as Austin Texas is the capitol of cedar fever I thought that was my ailment ..... but real fever only happens with an infection of some type , and I have it.

maybe one last thing .... when one had a fever before Covid pandemic you could walk into a doctors office . you could have full blown flu , come on in we will see now ..... if you report any thing like a fever you're not getting near the place .... I have lost some respect for the profession.

Mak10 , that sounds like a very sweet ride.
the negative to me is noise , and older diesels make plenty which is why my personal truck is a 6.4 Hemi . I get enough of diesel everyday.
sounds like you can really make a cool ride out of the DCC4x4..... post some pictures ( dirt bikes love old trucks ) when your ready.

It’s been cold here, work has been crazy busy. Been getting intimate with the Dodge. It suffered from the “KDP” or the killer dowel pin. Dowel pin falls out and carnage results. It could have been worse, catastrophic engine failure can result. This one just broke the timing case. The previous owner drove it like this for a long time. It leaked like the Exxon Valdez.
This Cummins 12 valve is pre emission, none of the crapola they stick on modern engines. Simple, gets great mileage for a truck, and it has character. The best injection pump ever hung on a diesel.

To replace the timing case is a big job, I’m waiting on a new one to show up. I have to pull the cam to replace it. Then put it all back together.
