have a new Acerbis 5.3 gallon tank to install . if not today then tomorrow . also getting rid of handle bar mounted choke . a few other things to do on the list.
Just curious about why you are removing the handlebar mounted choke lever? Mine has worked fine for 10,000 miles now. I know there are some kits available to relocate it.

when doing the bar swap I kinked the cable , still works but not smoothly . I had never done a bar swap before and with out an extra set of hands ..... so I figure that if I could kink it so could a tree limb...

Everybody turns to running for getting into shape. 'Hatter's right, it horrible for your body. Bicycles, real or stationary, are the best. Almost zero impact on your joints, but gets your knees lubed up, and improves your breathing and heart function.

Marathon runners piss blood for two weeks afterward. I've also read that your long-time runners have ran their asses off. The muscles actually separate from the skeleton.

I was tree climber for 30 years and a high iron worker. I'd get off work and run 6 miles after in the MS heat. Knees replaced at 57. I cringe now when I see people pounding the pavement. I saw a gyn owner on tv saying that the (heavies) sign ups are big at the first of the year every year. He said by the 10th. Most of them never came back.:D

Bicycling is a very good way to stay as healthy as you can with out doing more damage to yourself. I always loved riding bikes from the time I was 4 years old. I don't have any time for things I used to do as a younger person but would like to ride as well. The last time I rode a bicycle my legs were burning too! I used to ride everywhere on the back wheel and never had front tires wear out. Talk about keeping in shape. that works the stomach and legs and lungs and a few other things! I rode a bike a couple years ago and could still ride a wheelie pretty easy but talk about getting whipped fast! I used to ride a 6 foot tall unicycle in basketball half time shows as a kid. I got ahold of a unicycle a couple years ago and could still ride it too. that was very good for conditioning too! I used to do off road unicycling back in the early 70's. I saw some of that on you tube and they acted like it was new? haha. Well getting old sucks but if you can ride enjoy it even on a lesser scale! It is still fun and good for you.

When you get around to putting that tank on the bike let me know if you will what you like and don't like about it. I am thinking about doing the same. I really like the quality of the stock tank on my DR. I never thought it would have such a nice finish on it. Too bad it is so small!

cyclemike4... been a bit lazy since holidays so adding the farkle's has been slow . the Acebis tank I bought is white , thinking it will look pretty good . but I also like the look of stock tank . I do not have a garage or shop so all I do I do in the driveway ,tailgate of my truck is my work bench ... so what I start I have to finish that day . rarely start after lunch unless its a simple thing to do. sometimes I feel my time is not my own ... walking or riding my bike today . got to do something .

Hey I definitely know what you are feeling. Being tired is one thing and being worn out is another. I have always and still work way more hours a week than most do and I still have all my home chores to get done each week as well. when I was young I could do it all and even more and still had time to fool with bikes and ride. Now I find that a little more rest is better. I still have the passion and enthusiasm for bikes and riding as I always have. Just don't have the energy and young body I used to have. Resting on Sunday watching football is not a bad thing! It is a good thing I ride a Super T as my main transportation. It just keeps going and going even though I do not take the time for maintenance I used to be a stickler for. My mom always says listen to your body. It will tell you when to rest! haha.
