Beautiful weather today with low humidity, so I did the bar swap . Pro taper fat bar on rod anti vibration risors. Started around 930 am on the couch at noon. Bars are raised about 2 inches over stock and more forward. Better standing position. 28A49763-7A53-46F0-B419-E57DF44D8670.jpeg62F93A5F-B90D-47AE-9994-DB9E3CD33376.jpegD01C657B-8B8D-4C03-BFBB-7DB71538DBBC.jpeg1DF19712-ACFB-480B-B8AF-A71A320DEF65.jpeg27DB6D7C-0D4B-4C23-99FE-D7DE9CB21A9B.jpegF32E3509-46BE-4903-A6AD-9F5053914A55.jpeg

I haven't moved any bike I have for at least 2 weeks , rain mostly . I am planning on ordering the bark busters soon . that will finish the front of the bike .... seat and larger tank will follow that , then better springs . happy thanks giving everybody.

I did get the bark busters installed , look nice and good wind protection for the hands .
I have bark busters on my DR with a little extender on the guards. they do a real good job of keeping wind off my fingers. I really like them. It was 27 degrees this morning when I left for work. No issues with my hands at all and I am still using my lighter gloves.

cycle mike , I've gotten soft , it would have to be 72 before I rode the DR ,lol.
ive ridden plenty of cold mornings on my Tenere , I kinda enjoy it .... lots of wind protection on my Tenere . not so much the DR.
after the hand guard install I did a test ride in my neighbor hood with ungloved hands , the wind protection was pretty good . it was 50 that day.

It was 17 degrees this morning. I rode the Super T. It really does have great wind protection. Everything hits you on the DR. That is one thing that amazes me about the Super T. It is warm in the winter and in the summer isn't hot. Of course my other bike is the FJR 1300. It will absolutely fry you in the summer! Funny thing is it really isn't that warm in the winter. Any how the Super T is the best cold weather bike i have ever owned!

the Tenere is kinda boring but it does a great job of being a good motorcycle that we can depend on . as for the DR I've not really ridden much in the moths that I have had it , just over 200 miles . just been doing the farkle thing (I had a 2009 for 3 years so its not really new to me ) to get it ready for some spring rides .... will be ordering a seat (main reason not riding it ) in January , then I will be able to enjoy the ride more . in 3 years of owning the 2009 I never replaced the seat , just suffered when I rode.

Yesterday it was 13 degrees in the morning. I still have lots of ice and snow to go through before I get to a decent road. I decided to ride the DR. Lots lighter and easier to handle when it is slick. It warmed up to almost 50 yesterday and I still had ice on my hill and my road when I got home. Really need to get new tires on the thing. I had to get after it to get it back up the hill to my house. Both bikes are starting good so far this year. that is good! The Super T is slow spinning over slow but it always does in really cold weather.

The DR really needs a bit more fuel range. I found myself last summer in unknown areas and not sure where to find gas with 80 miles or better on the last fill up. It would feel better knowing you could go a couple hundred miles on a tank full. I have gone 130 once and 120 several times. that is really pushing the stock tank volume.
