View attachment 98235Still need to finish the fuel lines and take choke cable off the handle bar. Then put gas in and see if it works. That’s tomorrow’s plan.
Looks great! You will be able to run that bike dry with two fuel valves on it! I wondered how much fuel would stay on the right side with out that option. guess you could stop and lay the bike over but that is a lot easier if you get that low on fuel.

new seat is next , sometimes in February ...my Tenere is due an oil change , not sure I have the energy for that today . on the DR , I need to fill the new tank with gas and due a little test ride . good possibility of that happening .... local store sells straight gas no alcohol , any thoughts on how it would hurt /help the DR . I will think it cant hurt. .. extra 2 gallons is extra weight up high , hopefully not a big negative.

I just use regular gas 10% ethanol in my DR, no issues for 10,000 miles. I'll fill it with 100% gas for winter storage. Oil change is easy. Pay attention to the o-rings and don't overtighten the 3 bolts on the oil filter cover. I buy the oil change kit from Rocky Mountain ATV, includes everything...oil, filter, o-rings and drain plug washer. Kit has Suzuki oil, conventional 10w-40, OEM filter and OEM o-rings...$42

a few post back I shared that new tank installed and fuel lines hooked up and everything seemed fine ... couple of days later the bike would not start .... seems I did not clean inside of new tank very well , bad gas. so this morning I drained the bad gas and (the fuel lines needed a redesign and I have no time for that ) simplified the fuel line by only using one petcock to supply carb... the extra right hand side petcock will be used as a source of fuel , left 8 inches of fuel line attached and stashed in a crevice should I need a little fuel in a can or some one else tank. at least for now it will stay that way . no one likes to syphons gas , it taste bad. oil change on the Tenere is next.
