Not to worry boys and girls, we have our own local micro brewer here in Whitehorse and they make some pretty good beer. We won't have to suffer PBR. I was just down in Skagway today and drank some pretty fair Alaskan micro beer as well. I think we are going to be fine as far as good beer goes. O

some of their beers (Yukon Brewery) have won global awards. They have really pissed off a couple of high brow, old time established British breweries because they beat them out. Young upstarts !!!!! It's really good beer. If you like stout, they make an Expresso Stout that is really awesome. A very heavy, stout beer but very little afterbite.


Anyway, you won't be totally disappointed. Bring an extra kidney along with you. R

Well... I tested another ride for next July. Did a solo 450km round trip up the South Canol to Rose Lake. Took 8 hours with a 15 minute stop for an energy drink and a handfull of trail mix. I will post more detail and pictures in "Tall Trails".

Another picture that would look good with a brace of SupaT's all lined up

This sounds great guys just did the Google map thing its only 5,348 km. Maybe some of the guys from the east coast can meet around Iowa or what ever is best. This is one of the reasons I bought the Super Tenere to visit the Yukon, Northwest Territories and to slip my feet in the Arctic Ocean. (Part of my bucket list )

This sounds great guys just did the Google map thing its only 5,348 km. Maybe some of the guys from the east coast can meet around Iowa or what ever is best. This is one of the reasons I bought the Super Tenere to visit the Yukon, Northwest Territories and to slip my feet in the Arctic Ocean. (Part of my bucket list )

Stay tuned, I think there may be a few riders to hook-up with on both sides of the Canada/US boarder around the mid-west.

Well... I just talked with the owner of our local Yamaha shop and he is up for co-hosting the Super Tenere Gathering. Their shop is just off the Alaska Highway and we can set up some tents for logistics and cold beer in their yard. This nails the central gathering point and closing day BBQ. Great bunch of guys at the Yamaha shop, super customer service oriented crew.

This is a happin'in thang - mark your calendars, book your holidays...get out your maps and start planning your route. 8)
