That's amazing......but now what; another 100K? doesn't seem as exciting as the first 100K. ::008::

Really though; never seen anyone on a bike put on 100K in 2 years. Well done!! ::026::

He just explained how he did it.

That trip next week from Maryland to Houston............
He is NOT taking Southwest Airlines. :)

Its a business trip. Normal amount of allotted days.
The Boeing might beat him to the destination in "hours".
But NOT in "days"

Just crazy.

Lots of us have followed his every post. So you fellas wanting to know what his "issues" have been, he really did just tell you 99% of them.
Headlight harness(s) and final drive seal(s). I think an equal amount of both.....or close. 4 or 5.

Dude can ride!

There's been an electrical issue that Chris will need to 'splain.

Chris - Sounds great. We are working on fall/winter schedules this weekend, so I'll know what is open before I launch into some more weeks of travel for work.

So do you think the odometer has a 7th digit?

CONGRATS!

It would be awesome if you could come up with a way to post that maintenance log. It would be very cool to see what the "first" 100k miles entails.

If you guys keep egging him on, he'll try for 100k miles in a year. ::001::

Snake -

Next week is Atlanta (on the bike). :) I have to wait until the week after for Houston. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like I'll have much in the way of work travel for a while after these two trips.

Hope to crack a few cans with you soon!

Bob - I'm holding off on the electrical issue until the cause has been found. I don't want to get everyone worked up over something that I think is a unique problem. Yamaha has been working on it very diligently.

As to sailing - sounds good! I just picked up a little center console fishing boat in St Petersburg this past weekend, so if the wind doesn't cooperate, we'll still get some water time in! :)

AC -

Looking at it, there does seem to be enough room for a 7th digit... ::001::

PM your email address, and I'll send you the maintenance log.

Tom - you and I have spent a fair bit of time working out what that entails... and I'm pretty sure I don't want to give up my sailing time. :) I need to get in as much time as possible to be ready for the singlehanded Bermuda trip I'm planning for this coming June.

Yep, it was roughly 300 miles a day, and untold amounts of gas, oil, filters and tires too!

We came up with:

~ 30 oil filters
~ 26 gallons of Rotella T
3 sets of K-60s
4 valve checks, sets of plugs, and air filters
~ 3 sets of rear brake pads
possibly 1 new rear brake rotor
2275 gallons of gas
4 final drive seals
4 or 5 headlight harnesses

and a new girlfriend (my case) or ex wife (your case)... :))
