Incredible!!! Congratulations!!!

You should be advertising Seats, Grips, Windshield, and Foot Pegs.

Tim,

It would be a boring ad - stock grips, bars, and windshield. Sargent seat for the last 40k miles, stock before that. Fastway F5 pegs. ::001::

Close to it Tom! There were some stretches where I wasn't so happy with how things were going, but having two excellent dealers (Romney Cycles in Romney, WV and TriCounty Honda Yamaha in Petersburg, WV) and the tremendous support of Yamaha on the warranty side when needed made all the difference. I couldn't have done it without the help of TJ Lewis (tech), Larry (sales/service) and Kevin (owner) at Romney, or Rocky (tech), AJ (service manager), and Eric Hardy (sales/service) at TriCounty.

Could you kindly post a list of any issues you needed repairing, if any, and at what mileage? It would be much appreciated. Do you have a rough guess on total maintenance costs over the period, not including tires. This would really show how well these bikes are made and perform. ::026::

I can send you my maintenance spreadsheet which has everything in it, including part numbers. Just PM your email address. I've had two recurring issues, with failures averaging roughly every 20k miles - headlight wiring harnesses and final drive seals. After two winters of riding, electrical connection corrosion due to road salt has become an issue. Yamaha has been great on the warranty side (I have the YES plan until 2016).

Dallara,

I'm headed to Houston for work the week after next, and will be riding down. It's a quick trip though... one day down, one day of meetings, and one day to get home. Planning on getting back to Texas before the end of the year, and if the dates work out, will definitely be there for the Spring Ride! I owe you some beverages too! ;)

Trubrit -

I can give you an exact amount on maintenance costs, including tires. :D Just PM me your email, and I'll send you the excel spreadsheet I've been tracking everything in.
