yes - for me trimming the tab allowed the seat to go back further allowing the seat to latch - it only took about 1/8 inch for me - I went a little bit at a time

I do not notice it as much. For me the seat sits enough lower that the bars are easier to reach so I naturally sit further back in the "pocket" of the seat YMMV Dan

It is much better than stock - being lower really helps - still not perfect though - I may just be more tender in the rear than I used to be - need to ride more

I had the same problem on my replacement seat. as you know the seat is held in place in the front by the latch and the back by sliding the tongue into the hold down. If you feel inside the area where the tongue goes there is a step in there that would not let the tongue in my seat slide in...
