No start and Fault code 14 after valve adjust

Did you fix the cam chain with a strap, when you reinstall the camshaft ? One cam shaft drive (intake piston2) is under pressure during reinstallation. If you push the cam shaft down (without fixing), the chain will jump 2 cogs back. It will not harm your vales but the timing is complete wrong...

Who will be changing there chain tensioner to the 14' during valve adjustment ?

Changed the CCT after 70.000 km during the valve inspection. I released the CCT from the top, where I gave the top of the chain guard a small push with a screwdriver. The way as in the manual described did not work. The engine is much more silent, not only during the start procedure.

Hi, @ Lee: Thanks for the hint with Partshark. The CCT (cam chain tensioner) is half of the price than in Germany. @ TimLaw: I am looking for spare parts, not for general accesories. Touratech sell only accesories.

    Germany ride May???

If you keep the recommended speed of 130 for German highways, you will have no problems on the left lane. But Germany is not so large, that you need to drive on highways. Use normal country roads for touring (maximum allowed speed for country roads is 70-100).

    Germany ride May???

I think we have better places to ride motorcycle, than Frankfurt. I would also prefer the south of Germany (Alps). The area depends also on your preferences. The weather in May is not the best time to ride (depends on the biker > don’t be a whiner!). In May it is possible that you will see...

    Fan motor replacement...

What a pity. Last week I removed the radiator and fan of my Versys, but I did not recognize that it is a Denso fan. When he will fit to a Versys 650, he will also be used in a Ninja 650/ER6 (nearly the same bikes). The Ninja is the second most sold bike in Germany and bike parts are often to...
