Hi,
during the winter check, i dissembled the final drive. I pulled out the long steel shaft (Part 38) together with the grey rubber seal (part 39).
I found gear oil in the inner part of the spline cup (part 15). When I turn the final gear downward, a lot of gear oil spilled out of the inner part of the spline cup but nothing outside, where the oil seal (part 14) is placed.
The oil must pass the nut (part 17) and the washer (part 16), to get in the inner part of the spline cup. I did also see no seal, who could seal this place.
I did also not recognize a gear oil leakage during the normal use of the bike.
Question: Is it correct, that gear oil can be spilled in the inner part of the spline cup, when I turn the final gear drive around ?
