I put some risers on and now the throttle cable is to tight at right full lock , its now starting to wear through one of the cables ,I've tried rerouting / reposition with no luck I'm Looking to have some longer cables made , In looking at the throttle assembly the cover is screwed in with a star with a center pin screw head which tells me they don't advise the average joe remove it , that being said can the cables be removed and better yet reinstalled without removing this cover ? I don't want to get in over my head with my zero mechanic skills . Thanks in advance

Hi,
I have removed and reinstalled the cables without removing the black cover. You have to loosen the srew beside the throttle, to get more lenght in the cables. Than you can remove the cables out of the holes with a small screwdrivers.
Make a picture before you disamble the cables ;)

I disconnected mine from the throttle body when doing the valve adjustment. No big deal, just note which one is which. One routes over the top and the other from the bottom.

I'm kind of surprised your cables are tight though, there's so much slack at the top. You can bend the cable holder up to give it more room as well.

+1 on bending the cable guide at triple clamp to gain free play in cables.

I'm running Roxy 2" pivots and Flex Bars. And the throttle cables were the ones that DIDN'T have an issue. (clutch and brake lines were replaced with longer ones)
I'm surprised you are having issues. Not sure I've heard of short throttle cables ever. In 3 years on this board. (almost)

I too have the fox 2" and love them ,I was trying to live with the tightness at full lock , but noticed the cables were starting to wear through on the ignition , I spoke with Jaxon today and was advised to try to readjust or remove the cable holder , a good bend had very little improvement , I then decided to replace cables but the cost of new cables and honestly I was afraid messing with the throttle body , so backed off that idea , I messed around some more and spread the holder as well as a rebending it .

from this

I'll give it a try before going with the new long cables , they are still tight but not binding.
