To Wax or Not to Wax

You're going to laugh, but I use Pledge furnature spray on my motorcycles (the one with beeswax in it). I get better and easier results than stuff like Turtlewax.

    Givi Crash Bar Test

Cost to be able to ride again: $500. Cost for the insurance (every damaged part): $5000. Guess who's going on a 21-day trip through the Himalayas on a Royal Enfield next year ::001::

    Givi Crash Bar Test

A slightly "froozen shoulder syndrome" and an avulsion/contusion at/of the joing of my big toe (had a cask for 1,5 week). But I'm OK :) The bike is in for the new fan and I'm buying new clothing (which were too large anyway) next weekend. Can't wait to get back on ::001::

    Givi Crash Bar Test

I saw an AltRider crash bar test in the topic list, so why not make a Givi one too. On May 6th I collided with a car during mu morning commute. I was filtering through a starting traffic jam at around 50km/h when a car decided to change lanes without looking and blinking for half a second. The...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

The full damage assessment will be pretty long. But to get it just back on the road I need a new gear lever, the crash bars have to come off and the radiator (fan) has to be checked. The rest is just a scratch here, a broken screwhole there,... I myself am ok. A small bit of bone chipped of...

    Best Aux lights

*bump* Got my Advmonster Model 60 LEDs mounted since a week or 2-3 and love them. My bike is now a commute monster. Everybody is looking at me as if they're watching close Encounters :D Here the leds are dimmed to about 30% of their capacity. When I use my high beams they go to 100%

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Very tiny hands ? :P I find it actuially a shame that it's so hard on a bike like this. These are things that you should be able to adjust on the fly (even without tools imho). If I remember correctly even on my very old XJ600S there was a nice little wheel for it. Things like 2up riding...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Tried 30 minutes to reach the adjustment screw with a ratchet and sockets with different lengths, didn't work ::002:: Removed the headlight entirely and adjusted the screw with a large amount (I have HID lights, so oncoming traffic will be pleased with a much lower beam). 5 minutes work that...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Indeed a good tip, and better for the screws too I think. I turned the horizontal ones a little bit and the cross got a bit more round. Screws made in China I guess :P

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

the front forks block my screwdriver :'(

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Yea, the horizontall ones are easy, but those vertical ones are a PITA ::002:: Who designs that stuff? It's just impossible to reach the screws with a screwdriver. You can't even see them. So you basically have to get the entire headlight unit out to reach the screws, adjust them, put the...

What you did to your Tenere today??!!

Installed some longer dog bones so the back is 30mm lower. I have short legs, feels very comfortable to be able to put my feet flat down in every situation :) Now to find the screws to lower my headlight beam. Can't see the screws for it ...
