So how do they come off? Just warm the up a little and pull them off carefully like any other sticker? (ie, like the yamaha OEM stickers?)
Yes, a little heat and carefully get an edge and peel away in one piece. Much easier than oem stickers. Comes off clean.

Real happy with my side tank films. I followed the new instructions and, despite me being art-and-crafts challenged, these went on in 15-20 minutes as advertised. I didn't have bubbles when i was done, but did have a few tiny wrinkles (sort of like minor blemishes), but they smoothed out and were gone by the next day.

Great job on these, Thanks.

I haven't got up enough nerve to try mine yet. I managed to get my bike dirty on yesterday's ride, so maybe today after cleaning I will give them a try.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate the support. The headlight masks can be tough. Just remember to start at the top edge and you have the stretch the material around the middle of the lens protrusion. It stretches quite a bit. The material is tough, don't be afraid to stretch into the finished position for the headlight. The other guards don't need to be stretched as they are laying flat.

Received my kit on Monday, man it was quick. Was a bit busy during the week and had a problem finding Denatured Alcohol, that is until I discovered they call it Methylated Spirits in SA.

Fitted the tank, fork gaurds and exhaust shield today. Easy fit, awesome product again!!!!

Thanks, from another satisfied customer...

Just placed my order, Speedstar, as you know, and look forward to installing the protective film.

But I was just wondering...

Have you considered some of the same sort of protective film pieces for the factory Yamaha side cases, etc., perhaps in reflective material?

Thanks!

Dallara

Thanks to everyone for the support!

Dallara, That is a good idea. I do not have the factory cases, but if anyone wants custom cut pieces, give me measurements and I can make it possibly.
I am open to suggestions. Thanks.

Is there any chance you will produce a black cover for the pice of plastic just left of the place of your Exhaust Shield cover?

I guess I could make something there too. Might not look quite as clean as the one I offer now due to the holes that would need to be accounted for. Let me see what I can make. Any others interested in this too?

Stop at a sign shop and ask for a scrap of adhesive black vinyl (or whatever color). What was scrap to them and given to me for free was about 30" x 40"

I also cut a small piece to keep the keys from chafing the upper triple clamp.

dear speedstar

i am expecting my raven 2012 super tenere here in new york city around october the 25th . my dealer is long island city yamaha . i will order your entire set of clear coverings plus the black exhaust shield mask when the bike arrives . meanwhile - if it is not too much trouble - could you kindly take two or three full profile shots of your raven super tenere ( showing full length left and right profiles ) ? please shoot the photos in good outdoor light and without any bags or luggage mounted on the bike . your photos from this thread are certainly well done and show the products that you sell quite vividly . you must have a decent camera . not only do i want to view a full profile of both sides of your bike ( without luggage mounted ) in order to see what your plastic covers look like , but also - for some reason - there are not any really good shots of a raven super tenere on this forum or any other forum . all the decent photos of new super teneres are blue colored bikes . yamaha has some great studio shots of the raven super tenere on the official yamaha site but all of their live outdoor photos are of blue super teneres only . i hope i am not asking too much of you but three or four well done full profile shots of your raven super tenere would be a great addition to this forum . i plan to post my own photos in about six or eight weeks . thanks .

Man, your bike sure is a beauty Devin. I too, would be interested in completely blackening out the exhaust. As a matter of fact, I'm eventually looking to "blacken" out as much of the silver on mine as possible. I have a blue bike but, still don't like the silver on it. Guess eventually I'll get the black hand rails that come with the raven and a black luggage carrier from Altrider. IMO a complete blackout against the blue would look sharp.

If you want to black it out even more, I can also do the fork tube guards in black too. That would look stealthy!!!

Everything went on without hassle. Looks great. Protects the places where my knees grip the tank. Protects the overhang from my tank bag.
Another happy customer.
