No, the glossy 3M film will stick out like a sore thumb. 3M does make a satin film that is meant to be used on matte finishes, Tankslapper does make a kit for the Tenere and you can request the satin film for it.

I spoke with Devin about doing the gas tank side panels in black instead of the clear. I was looking for something to break up the large area of white on the tank and at the same time provide some protection. I think it turned out great. I also believe this would look good on the matte gray as well.
