spot on fellaCheckswrecks is it ok for us in the UK to comment on our royalty and aristocracy. Thats a big favourite of mine seeing as they are some of then biggest theives history has ever known.
Yes I did know...said the smug git...In the UK there’s a very interesting and fascinating documentary on Spanish Flu on SKY TV on demand. Did you know it actually got its name due to Spain not being part of WW1, it never actually originated there. If you can, have a watch, it’s really good.

There are many variations of that joke. Dad Vs Mom and the number of fingers variations.Reminds of a military joke when a Marine and a Navy sailor were in the bathroom together. Upon noticing the Sailor had not washed his hands, the Marine piped up and said. "In the Marines were taught to always wash our hands! the sailor replied to the Marine, "that's nice but in the Navy we were taught not to pee on our hands!"
As far as your answer and moderating around here, we try to do as little as possible to keep the train/thread somewhat near the tracks and not have forum members attack each other. While I too have pretty strong political opinions, one of the reasons I like the forum is most people of us have been here for a long time together and use some common sense.Checkswrecks is it ok for us in the UK to comment on our royalty and aristocracy. Mind you, current estimates of fraud relating just to covid bounceback loans in the UK is £26 billion (yes, 26 thousand million!). Then there is the fraud on the furlough scheme estimated at £3.5billion at the end of August 2020, so this will more than double as the scheme continues on and on. But then the whole lockdown support scheme is just throwing money down the toilet. Since Feb 2020 it has cost us £1bn a day and there is little evidence of the benefit we have got from it.The number of fraudulent claims is like 0.2% in the uk. It’s tiny but the right wing press have blown it out of all proportion to divert attention from the real criminals like Amazon and Google. And I know someone who exists on benefits. If you think that’s easy, try it. She regularly has no food or heating and we have to help her out. Benefits is not the easy option

Yeah, I knew that. Countries involved in the war played it way down, so Spain being neutral, was the main source of information. In the UK there’s a very interesting and fascinating documentary on Spanish Flu on SKY TV on demand. Yes, I was referring to the very small number of fraudulent small scale benefits claims where for instance some does work at the same time as claiming that they can’t work etc.Mind you, current estimates of fraud relating just to covid bounceback loans in the UK is £26 billion (yes, 26 thousand million!). So much of this...every now and then we have to post a reminder, but for the most part we are all adults here who shared a common passion in motorcycles. Being an international forum, we certainly have our differences, but as has been observed, travel is a good cure for ignorance, and doing so here virtually is the best we can do right now.As far as your answer and moderating around here, we try to do as little as possible to keep the train/thread somewhat near the tracks and not have forum members attack each other. That. . . . was not much of an answer to his question though. Of course, my knowledge of their government is nil. I wouldn't know who was right, wrong, or who's side to take.As far as your answer and moderating around here, we try to do as little as possible to keep the train/thread somewhat near the tracks and not have forum members attack each other. Yes, I get where you’re coming from. I can’t get over the people who have taken fraudulent advantage of our current predicament and understandably hasty support schemes to steal from us taxpayers on such a massive scale. It says a lot about the state of society, attitudes and morals here in the UK.Yes, I was referring to the very small number of fraudulent small scale benefits claims where for instance some does work at the same time as claiming that they can’t work etc.

While they have as many views on the same left-right spectrum in Govt stuff as us simpletons, they beat us by adding more opinions about NHS and then can juice any argument with a LOT more history and flourish.. . . my knowledge of their government is nil. You could be right and i get that side of things. However when a country sells its assets its all downhill from there. It doesnt help that our stock market rules enable people to get control a company so easily break it up and destroy it. ICI comes to mind as an exame.Maybe they have it set up so that only interest is deductible if there’s a loan on the property but seems like they’d have to pay some kind of property taxes too. By renting perhaps the write off the whole thing as an expense so works out cheaper?
