Rode to work again today. 15 degrees this morning. Going to warm up a lot today but im still expecting frost when i get out after dark later. I been covering my seats for years like this. It definitely saves the seats to keep frost off them if you can. Anybody else do something like this. I always take the towel off when i ride20250214_062637.jpg20250214_062631.jpg

@cyclemike4 you may want to look into a half cover. I've used one for years and it works pretty good keeping the whole bike clean. Nice thing is it attaches like a canopy from the fairing to the trunk and can be put on right away when you park. No worries of engine or exhaust heat melting it. Wouldn't take up much more room than a towel either.

I may look into that. I like that idea

I'm guessing that's KPH? Since it's only at about 3,400rpm.
Yeah, plus with the speedo always reading 7-8 kmh high, this is about 55 mph on a county road.

We'd had back to back storms followed by a couple of very windy days drifting all that white crap back on to the roads. First time I've been out in a couple of weeks.

At slower speeds, mine seems to be right on. At least using those "your speed" radars. My 30 shows 30. And it can't be too far at 70+ 'cuz I tend to push my cushion and haven't been stopped. We've been in the 20°s this week, with snow, but will be in the 70°s next week. Mine has been plugged in and sleeping.

Around here those ”your speed” radar things usually seem to be very inaccurate but they do still get my attention

My speedometer on the 16 is usually right on or 1-2 mph off depending on the rear tire compared to the GPS.
2 different gps mounted, plus the phone. Set the cruise like I did in the pic, and that 102 is 94/95 actual. My 14 was out the identical amount.

Shinko 805s when new are about 5/6 kmh out, then when worn it's back to 7/8. Currently have Motoz GPS mounted. Same thing. Trailmax Missions, same thing. 2 other gps mounted before, same.

Now, the quirky part is the odometer is accurate. Every way I measure that (including highway markings) it's within 10 meters per kilometer. Usually less off, if the tire is past half life.

It is what it is. I dunno why, I can only see the data, don't know enough about internals to figure out what's up.
