Had Monday off so I took a quick trip up to Mount Umunhum which is 3500' above San Jose.... (picture is looking to the North-East).
The 85' tall "cube" is a former US Air Force radar station that operated from 1958 to 1980... it was opened to the public after a massive clean up a few years ago.
Had the place to my self and it was only about a 30 mile round trip from the house.

Kitt Peak south west of Tuscon. Observatory with more than 2 dozen telescopes.
Visitor Center was closed. Tours have to be scheduled.

Concrete donuts were used as a load test for the telescopes mirror mounts.

Pretty cool place... literally it was cold up there!

Good trip to HR4K in Hereford today, great venue.
Bit chilly but dry and sunny, even saw another XT1200 same colour as mine on the way home going from Gloucester to Leominster way..

That was one of our regular "Destination Rides" when I lived in AZ.
Been up there a few times!

Bartlett and Horseshoe Lakes on the Verde River.

I had never been all the way to the Horseshoe dam. Very interesting design. You can walk under the water flow. Not much water flowing today. I was looking for a way to trails east of the Verde. You would need a small dirt bike to make the turns through the walkway. Gates over the dam are closed.

Hi What year is your bike - it looks like my 2019 model ?
It's a 2014. It's hard (for me) to judge the model year. They're all very similar. The most obvious differentiator (to me) is the dash: pre-2014 vs 2014 and later. Otherwise, they all are just Super Tenere's to me.

By the way, you must have one of the best looking S10s .

Finely got out and rode the s10 to see some beautiful North Carolina spring time scenery. As well as some aftermath from Helen back in October.

Seems in the UK, there are more biker cafes than bike dealers?

First time up Pinal Peak by Globe. Great road and views. As we got close to the top we ran into residual snow and a stuck van. The lady and her dog had been stuck for almost 24hrs. We were the first ones to find her. We were able to push her out and get her turned around.

About that time the AJ Old Buggers showed up.

Not knowing how much more snow we might find we decided to hike the rest of the way to the top. Will go back after the snow is gone.
