I got the sentiment of what you were saying, just couldn’t resist the temptation. I really don’t know how some defence lawyers can sleep at nightTheir fees don't go into the local, state, and federal coffers though.

I did it many, many years ago in a 1962 Rover 3litre with a bunch of mates.Lyndon rd is cool, turn off SH73 near Porters Pass, brings you out just north of Rakaia Gorge on 77. bit tight for a large RV? but lovely country through there. Give me a heads up if u coming down to Dunners.

Yes, it's a thing. Mine has done it 5 or 6 times. If it foesn't fire up normally turn off the key a moment for the comp to reset and fires right up.
And I will add, keep the starter button pushed until it starts. (within reason) Sometimes she'll cough like she's going to start but doesn't. The starter disconnects as soon as she starts anyway.
Remember that if your first start attempt fails, always turn off the key and recycle before attempting again. Why? Because the headlights don't come on until you let off of the start button. That failed crank left the headlights on. Now you have less amps for the starter and ignition.
How was the temps?Looked online and it said the Mogollon Rim Road was open. It was closed all season last year with all the snow. After breakfast in Pine, we headed up to check it out. The trail was open with light spotty snow. The snow got thicker as we went east. Going west to east the last 12 miles are paved. The thicker snow on pavement gave us no traction so we turned around. Cool ride, finally broke out the heated gear.

Everyone likes a good rim.Love "The Rim"!
Have camped up there many times......
Took a corolla up it the long way from 87 one time. Creek crossings and all. Hiked to the peak till I needed rigging. Left going down the backside coming up one of the banks of the creeks.First trip up 4 Peaks this year.

Probably in the 40s. Snow on the pavement was melting in the sun and icy in the shadows. OK on the gravel. Really bad on the pavement. How was the temps?
