I had a successful day in the garage. I changed out the K&N air filter the prior owner installed for an OEM filter. Getting to that filter is a royal PITA; after going through that process, I am glad I won't have to do it again anytime soon.

I also installed a dash plate I picked up in the flea market, an ABS kill switch, LadlesportADV nav tower braces, and finally, mounted the Mosko Gnat handlebar bag.

The new dash, braces, and a cool switch.

Because I hate tank bags I thought I would give the handlebar bag a try.

It’s true, we are out in the Smoky Mountains right now and have traveled so many small, great bike roads. I almost wished she was shopping and I was riding.
I discovered the wonderful roads of the Appalachian mountains around 6 or 7 yrs ago. Now I go once a year at least... either pavement or gravel.

Yesterday received and mounted my Mosko Moto Back Country Panniers. The mounting plates to my rack were easy and quick. However, installing the external pockets was a total PIA. A combination of the bags being compressed, rigidity due to being new and needing three hands to get the mounting screw in resulted in some choice words at times :) I ended up enlisting my wife's help and that got them done.

The quality of the bags is fantastic. The small features built into them is very cool and I have no doubt these bags will last a very long time. I was also lucky to catch their sale over Thanksgiving weekend where I got them for $825 instead of the regular $1150 price. Here are a few pics.

I rode an AT this fall for a week with that bag setup. I too was very impressed.

I need to learn how to do this service.
Go to Traxxion Dynamics suspension and buy their kit. Get the vise soft jaws too. Have two ratchet straps and if you have stock front internals you'll need the tool to hold the internals. It also helps a bunch if you have an impact wrench to remove the lower bolt that hold the internals in place.do it once yourself and the savings will pay for the tools. Next time free. You only need the internal hold tool if tearing completely down.

Well..... I added one of these (Diode) last night to my "light system"..... Works perfectly and Im super jazzed that all of this works just as I wanted ! ! !

Side Note,...... Anyone that owns any Baja Design lights. They have a program that you can send in your lights and have the new updated boards / LED technology installed... Or they will just exchange out your old for new, and send them back. Mine are 10+ years old and have always worked great. Not a lick of trouble..... With this program I pulled them off and sent them in. Im going from 2012 up to 2023 Technology..... (think about it like your phone) Some numbers / info in second photo.......... Oh.... and still have a life time warranty...

It might sound like Im sponsored, given product, or paid, or compensated in some way for talking about Baja.... I AM NOT in anyway... It's just a fantastic product with great people working there...... What else could you ask for in today's world ? ! ! ! ! ! !

Loaded for AZ. 1st year using a heavy duty truck tarp. Last year ended up towing a big ice cube the last day with it bare. Ready for anything this year which means it willl be a nice sunny drive the whole way.

It took me a minute to work out what was happening here. I thought you were showing the trailer that you would be towing with the bike.
I’d be saying to remember to not filter between cars while towing it

I installed Touratech 20mm bar risers. The original owner had installed HeliBars bar risers, but they moved the handlebars too far rearward for my tastes. I think I will be posting the Helibars up in the fleamarket if anyone wants them.
