I'm doingspark plugs for the first time, 29000. Probably late but nevertheless the bolts holding down the ( don't know what they're called) had this greenish, almost like from a battery terminal corrosion. Anyone else have this? Anything to worry about? Thank you in advance.

That is thread locker and completely unnecessary, if you ask me. and they're called coilsticks!

Yeah, for some reason Yamaha applies some kind of green thread locker to those bolts. It's mostly annoying because you almost have to use a wrench (with limited throw) to turn them all the way out instead of your fingers. I've changed plugs twice and gone 78K miles and never bothered re-applying any kind of locker compound. The bolts never loosened up by themselves.

Elric, I think I want one of those as well. Let me/us know how you hopefully never have to use that. But could you please let me/us know how it feels over your jacket and in use. It's a fantastic concept and worth the price of admission.
I took the back protector out of my olympia mesh jacket and rode with it today, I honestly felt no difference. It has a back protector plus the inflatable part, so I only wore the jacket for the arm slide and elbow protection.

these are rigid lights and they are bright . had these on my 2012 , and I finally got them mounted on the 2019 . the bottom outside pair are a wide beam and I have them angled out toward the ditches to light up the sides of the road(and to not blind on coming cars , had to do some adjusting and night riding ,when the cars quit flashing me I figure it is good ) . also since I use this pair as a daytime light when the bike is on I turn them on via a switch . the upper more inside pair are spot lights for down the road and on this bike I have them paired to the hi beam switch (or I can flip a switch and keep them off to work the hi beam independently ) . so I have the option of just the low beam , just the hi beam , low beam and wide beam (always this combination ) , hi beam and wide beam , or everything on high. my headlights are cyclops . it works very well indeed.

Well the plan was to throw a tire on this morning. Every single bolt was froze up. The abs sensor didnt come out. The axle didnt come out. The axle pinch bolt didnt come out. It took over two hours just to correct the pinch bolt problem but it was successful! Oh yea! Got the tire on and my balacer had bad bearings. Lucky me found bearings in the shop that are right! The only thing i cheaped out and bought a tire on sale. I thought by the picture it was a bit more off road but it looks 100 percent street to me. Not that i off road it a lot but a 50 50 tire sure makes it a lot easier to get to my house in bad weather.

I picked this bike up end July last year, so I didn't want to be sweating my ass off in the garage getting stuff installed. Just grabbed what I had handy, made it work. 30k later, I was having gremlins with the electrical accessories, time to sort it. That turned out to be today. :D

Love the eastern beaver stuff, but this is an ES, so it wasn't gonna work for me. Already had the goodies rigged off a relay, triggered by the OEM acc plug, needed a proper fuse panel. This Blue Sea one fit perfectly, happy with how it worked out.
