After quick research, it looks like what you need to avoid is any with silicates, which was the old standard. When I first did mine three years ago, I found the Prestone at the neighborhood auto supply which specifically stated All Vehicles, and compatible with all other coolants as a top off.
Yup, I think silicates have been dropped from almost all coolant formulations these days. They tend to oxidise to silicon oxide (sand) and precipitate with age. It's that grit that ruins the seals. The Prestone All Vehicle stuff states that it's silicate free. 79K on my Super Tenere using this stuff since 15-20,000 miles. It's good stuff.

I have been using premix Peak Global Lifetime antifreeze in all my vehicles for the past 15 years.
The original water pump on my Goldwing only lasted 450,000 miles , so I installed a rebuilt water pump that I paid $75 for, the rebuilt pump now has 111,000 miles with no leak.

So this is really 2 days in one post. Yesterday I bought a 2019 S10 road it 2.5 hrs back to the house the back way then today mounted a rear glove box and a small tank bag. The one that came with the bike is a monster Yamaha bag.

as I got it on the way home

after the minor update

With winter and darkness all over Sweden, and 40,000 km service completed, I have to pace myself with small daily "upgrades" to the Tenerasaurus.

Double USB port replaced with similar that include a volt meter. On/off switch as an unexpected benefit!

TPMS head unit charging. Last time was in August. Really impressive low power consumption.

Display, instant on as soon as the bike is rolling.

Valve sensors not the most protected units but 40,000 km wild riding w/o issues so far. I really like this Michelin set up.

Sorry about the poor lighting but I'm in the middle of a garage upgrade and not all lights are hooked up (another ongoing winter darkness project).
When all said is and done, it'll be a four car garage with a separate lounge for story telling. ;)

35E201FA-E931-4527-B70E-E85F34D299E3.jpegAdding some additional lighting. Wanted a spot bar that comes on with my brights. I found an inexpensive one on Amazon that fits and just a spot not a combo. I’ll attach a write up when I get it done. I’ve got to build a relay now triggered by my high beams. 912EB507-59BC-4EB8-8520-3968FFF8538C.jpeg

I also bled my brakes and clutch at the usual 2-year interval and made a few observations:
a) why are they bleed valves at the top of the caliper? Wouldn't it make more sense to have them at the bottom to really get all the gunk at the bottom out? Does anybody remove their calipers and turn them upside down?
b) Front fluid looked like new, rear a little darker but not bad, but the clutch looked a little nasty, especially in the master cylinder there were some dark streaks in the fluid that I sucked out with a syringe. I guess I may have to increase my clutch fluid change intervals. And I guess I shift more than I brake (which makes sense since at 40k miles I am still only halfway through my original front pads).

My clutch is always way worse than the brakes. I think it's because the reservoir is so small. Makes it a pain to bleed too, since you have to add fluid after every couple pumps. I do it more frequently, because of the clutch, and do the brakes at the same time since the fresh bottle was just opened.

I just did mine and I thought "Why didn't they double the capacity on this!" I guess they decided to save some weight!

Did you cycle the ABS, and re-bleed?

Did not cycle the ABS to rebleed. Overall the color of the brake fluid didn't make me feel it was necessary. And my ABS gets used periodically when I am on gravel, so I don't envision there to be much gunk in the system. I also suspect that most of the few ABS failures are due to external water intrusion (from clogged drain holes in the ABS box) and not from failure to cycle your pump.
