I've done a few things while it has been so hot..
The first was to add a Gerbing permanent controller and Powerelet sockets.

The next was to add power to my Bags- Connection tank bag. This would work on any tank bag. I just used connectors from Powerlet. Works great and does not take up a lot of room. I soldered the wires to a USB plug for a cigar lighter and then covered with tape and shrink tube.
I used a grommet with one end cut off and a washer on the back side with a knot in the wire. I used a soldering iron to make the hole..

Next was a 3/16 zerk fitting in the shifter pivot point. It is a drive on fit and I used a socket to do that. Thanks to Eric for the info on doing this.

And last but not least, my partner.. She is 16 and can't get around that good, but really likes to be with me and gives me no lip... :D

Sorry for the eyes..

Well that's about it for now.. lol..

Yep, that was about it. If you notice the zerk has a round collar and I used a deep set socket that just fit over the head and made contact with the collar.
Measuring and marking the exact area to drill so the zerk is centered on the grove on the shaft, is the hardest part.

::026:: Understand that drills often make a hole slightly larger than the actual drill size too. If you're going to use a press fit zerk, you might want to drill a size smaller than called for, then decide if you need to open it up a little or just drive the zerk in.

Nice job Japako. ::008::

Thanks, The cattle are really no issue, they are fun to "herd" if you will. I got my K60's from JAXXON at Ride on adv. I drove up there last Saturday, had the spooned on, and ordered the other stuff form him while I was there. Well worth the drive!

Tabasco these roads are all within a "few" mile os Llano, some of them are off 2323, and the others are right off of 71 east of llano, (308, 315) varied terrain, low water crossings, and more than enough wildlife to make you think!

I don't care for handlebar switches as the wires move and stress when the handlebars are turned so I try to eliminate that when I can.

I decided I wanted to do the mod to add buttons from the two dash mode buttons.

So, I had these momentary switches lying around - well 2 - 1 was already being used as my garage door opener on the bike but lower in the frame and not as easy to get to.

I drilled 3 holes - ouch

and yada yada yada

The bottom one closest to the tank is my garage door opening so I can hit it as I'm pulling in.

The middle button will toggle the bottom trip meter on the dash and the top button will toggle the functions on the top dash display.

Thanks Jaxon. Your right, the shop is way to hot to work in after noon. I'm taking the next few days off, sit in the A/C and drink cold water.. ::025::

Well, it has been busy. I didnt get my corbin ordered, and with the upcoming Colorado trip tomorrow, I got an Airhawk R to help out. Mounted up a new B-stone (old one at 6k miles and I didnt think it had 2500 miles left in it). Now I need to pack and leave after Rocker Box tomorrow.
