Ggeorge11,

Gonna be hard to top that one today. I'm thinking I won't even try.

Great story.

Oh, by the way, an S10 with oem tires is a great bike.
An S10 with K60's is a weapon. Enjoy!

I got a great 470 miles ride in to do some tagging. I rode through lots of nice farmland and saw many gravel roads to try once the K60's are on ::008::

I also stopped here but didn't get out on the track ::025::

Thanks snakebitten, I can not wait until I can get out there on some of my roads, and shake these loose, I am "hydrating" today, I need to wash the blue beast, and remove the Yellow decals from the side. I ordered a set of texas tenere decals from Jaxxon, and I want to be ready as soon as they get here, Pluse I can put on the new Pazzo levers, and the fork guards too!

Did a 285 mile ride today. Stopped at the famous Rock Store, and then rode through the Angeles Crest Highway and stopped at Newcombs Ranch, another bike hangout on a very good motorcycle road. Did a few offroad diversions and explored some back roads in the mountains. Was a hoot! Did not spot any celebs at the Rock Store. Just lots of bikes and friendly people.

I met with AndrewS rode some of the alternate sections of the WABDR. Completed 290 miles and still home by 2:00 pm.

Nchristi, Bugkiller, and I went on a great ride today. Rode from Mesa to Pine/Strawberry where we eventually jumped on the famous forest road 300. The weather and scenery could not have been better. On the way home, after parting with the other two riders, I came across an HD rider who went off the road and into a cactus. Pulled HD man and bike out of cactus. He was screwed up. OUCH!!

Nice Jeff! ::008:: What sections?

Do you have the waypoints loaded into your GPS?

I notice on the WABDR site you can download waypoints, but not for my Zumo 450 ... may need to create my own.

Missed you by only one day!!! I didn't get a chance to get in any off roading :-( But on the 30th I was in Malibu ( Rockstore) and then rode over Highway 2(Crest) on our way back to Vegas from the Moto GP race.

Laced up a new rear wheel. Now I can wear out rear tires locally and keep one for long rides only.

This bike really makes me miss being out there. Can you believe I lived 3 years in TO/Simi and never road ACH?

What hub did you use? Did you just buy a stock hub and lace up an Excel rim ? Post a few pictures.. That would be a great set up to have a whole extra set of wheels...

All OEM parts. Hub. wheel, spokes, bearings and ABS plate. Have 3 rear tires with some life left in them but keep putting on new one to ride up and back to my home in NC. Plan is to keep a rear for the long rides only and use up the half worn ones local. Should pay for the wheel over time.

I've done nothing for over a week now :(

Ran over a three inch lag bolt and killed my rear tire. The new sneakers should be here tomorrow and I've got a void filler on the way from Longboard, ::012:: so hopefully some work on the old girl then some ride time this weekend...

I installed a Altrider Plate today. BIG thanks go out to Northernstar, excellent guy to do business with. The plate came packaged better than it would have from Alrider I am certain. It was as advertised brand new! All the way from Fairbanks, AK and the box was not bent anywhere. UPS delivery guy even laughed about that. Took about 45 minutes to put it on.

I still have the Yamaha plate and probably will just keep it. I only bought the Alrider because I leave for CO, UT and AZ for two weeks this coming saturday. It's only insurance which I doubt I will need. Anyway we have all seen it before but here it is on my bike.

Strange how I never noticed the darker color on the welds before now. I wish that they would have had full penetration onto backside.

Lost about a inch of ground clearance and my oil changes just got more complicated.
