Replaced my cracked Kriega fork savers with a fresh new set provided under warranty from Kriega. They were very apologetic about the cracking and quick to send new ones.

Installed the Wunderlick kickstand foot on my wife's shortened kickstand. In the up position I find it now sticks up enough to be annoying. As I'm moving my foot around when standing it gets in the way and I need to lift my heal and step down on it. If it was doing that on my bike I'd take it off (didn't put one on my bike). I'll wait for her to pass judgement when she rides it tomorrow.

Rode with a friend to Tampa to trade his CBR in on a new Street Triple from a European cycle shop. Talk about a cool place with all the toys: Ducati, BMW, Triumph, MV Augusta... After seeing an Explorer 1200 in person and sitting on it, I have absolutely no regrets getting the Tenere (I was dead-set on the Explorer at one time) - it's certainly a nice bike, but it just didn't feel 'Right' like the Tenere does...

Cool thing was - all these people coming to look at the more prestigious European bikes were gathering around the Tenere. Including the staff at the shop who'd never seen one in person. You could tell this was one of those shops staffed by 'bike guys' and I had some great conversations with them while I waited on Eric to complete his transaction.

It was interesting to see a bike shop with a parking lot full of Land Rovers, Audis, BMWs, and Benzes. One guy had just bought a new, fully farkled, Multistrada and the whole package of Olympia gear, Revit gloves, Sidi boots, and Arai XD4 helmet - must've dropped over 25 grand in one fell swoop. He looked very, very happy in his new gear and on his new ride (which he was hurrying home on to avoid the coming rain)...

Heard more than one conversation between potential customers and the sales staff about different bikes, and was amazed at the questions and the fact that people were coming in to buy 1200 GSs, Multis, and one guy who was wanting an 1199 Panigale as his first bike. A credit to the salespeople, who in every instance tried to steer these people to more sensible first-bike choices - mostly to no avail - (more money than sense I suppose).

And Eric and I had a blast riding back roads all the way back to Jacksonville - dodging the weather radar as we worked our way northeast across the state - but finally pulled out the rain gear about 70 miles from home. It was a fun day and another 504 miles on the Tenere... ::014::

Added a ViziTech SupaBrake inline with my brake lights. I like the "plug and play" aspect of this brake flasher unit.

And also installed the SW Motech On-Road / Off-Road footpegs in their lower position which gives me a little over 1/2" (15mm) lower than stock peg and for me being 6'-5 it's amazing how much difference that 1/2" makes while in the saddle. I also had to adjust the gear shift lever and brake pedal to accommodate the pedal height change.

Welcome to the Baja Squadron crowd of 'enlightened' customers. ::26:: They don't just illuminate; they burn away the darkness ::008:: These are the best aux lights I've owned! Do yourself a favor through and order-up a 1 or 2 spare batteries for the key fob. They are not very common (size 27A), but available on Amazon. I think some of them set on the shelf for quite awhile before being sold, so the batt is probably at least partially drained. I ordered two, one for immediate install and one as a standby. I don't plan to play with the remote contral all that much, but if I decide to change the brightness while in low beam, I want the function to be available. My battery died about a week ago, and new ones are still being shipped.

I added a little reflective bling to my side cases... Still need to do the top case.

This is just the flash from my cell phone. Imagine headlights hitting it!

I turned my right rear grab handle upside down and now my Cortech Bags fit like a charm. A no-cost pannier.

I win! ;-)

Did you do that by hand? I still haven't measured and sent the sizing to Jackson so he can make and send me some for my bags. I think the black reflective would look good on my black bags!!

Ya, my wife did the old pencil scratching over a piece of paper. I transferred that to card stock and used that as my stencil on the reflective tape. It's not perfect but you cant tell from more than 3 feet away. Easy peezy.

A few weeks ago I was at TechSpec and they wanted to use my side case for a tracing of the raised portion of the top. They did not have what they usually use for the tracing so they used a clear film with adhesive. I am guessing you could do the same with the letters. Use a straight edge with a Sharpie pin point. Remove the clear film and put it back on the adhesive cover. Jaxon could take the measurements and balance them. Then make them in clear and color reflective. I suspect these would sell very well.

Even easier... lay a piece of paper across the YAMAHA letters and go back and forth with a pencil. The Yamaha letters just jump out on the page and you can transfer them to the reflective tape. Cost a grand total of a sheet of notebook paper and pencil. No special films.

Mine arent perfect because im not very patient, but you could easily take a little more time and have it dead on. Having an X-acto knife for the reflective tape is a huge plus.

To each their own, though. This was so easy to do i couldnt imagine paying anyone to do it for me.
