I rode down to Croatia from the UK on 28th April 2023 on a new set of Mitas E07+ To begin with they were fine but as they wore they got noisy.Which annoyed the hell out of meThe grip was fine on wet/dry roads. However these are tyres suited for someone who goes off tarmac riding trails. There are tyres out there far better for tarmac that are not noisy.

cycledude , TKC 80's are great tires , but the rear will last about 5 k .... ballisticexchris is a guy I think got a raw deal ... what is done is done , not sure he would come back now even if he could .
as for my bike I have been running Shenko 705's. starting to shop tires .what I'm seeing is I can find rears but no fronts or fronts and no rears . I think its better now but still an issue for some tire brands .

I'm currently using Mitas touring force and they're doing good but I haven't been with them in the wet yet. So we'll see in a few months

I picked up another pair of TrailAttack3s a few months back from Blackcircles for £235, on a deal posted on ukgser. But as I already had a pair of original Tourances I’d bought back when M+P were doing them for £140 a few years ago, I decided I needed to get them used before they got too old. So After 12k+ miles on one front and two rear TA3s I’m now on the Tourances. 2000 mile riding round the highlands over the last 12 days and they’re doing just fine. The first 4days up to and around Grantown, the north coast and down through Glenshee etc was all pretty wet, but they gripped just fine happily keeping up with my mates on their PR5 or 6 shod GSs. Just goes to show how good they always were. Having used them on all three of my previous GSs at different times I kinda knew, but I had wondered if going back to them after the newer/better TA3s would be a mistake, but in tryth it’s just showed how good these have always been. Not sure they’ll last as long mind, the fronts already starting to wear.

My Super Tenere has had nothing but Metzeler Tourance on it.I find they grip well on wet and dry roads. My last pair did 11.000 miles before I changed them.I replaced them with Tourance from M+P Swansea for £204 delievered in May 2023. plus £24 to have them fitted to loose wheels. Some people get into their heads that The latest sports touring tyre from Eg Metzeler is the best and everything previous was rubbish.I used the now aging Metzeler Z6 on my Honda Fireblade up to 2022 and that tyre was brilliant on wet roads. The Tourance is another (been around a long time kind of tyre) that still does a Mega job.
