What tyres does your S10 wear?

If you are riding PURELY off road and want "aggressive" I would go with a motocross rear for an off road bike. The knobs are much deeper than any adventure type tire. Any 110/90/19 should work. You might even be able to find one that is DOT rated, but it doesn't sound like you need that.
I did that once on my KTM Adventure 950....the rear tire lasted about 70 miles...

:)

Shinko 804 does come in 110/80 but I would prefer something more agressive I think. I need to check if there is a close size for the Shinko 504 that would work in the front.

It is not a "front" tire, it is a REAR tire that you would put on the front of your bike. Shinko 504/505 (110/90/19) You could even go with a 100/90/19 if you wanted it a little lower.

Thanks - I think I may have found another interesting option - Motoz Tractionator Rally

They have the correct size and it does say Front. $157 so good price point.

That does look like a good choice but it's twice as expensive as the Shinko option ;)

I've put a couple of hundred miles on the Conti TA front. Actually remembered to reset the mileage monitor in "maintenance" so I can get a solid mileage reading on it. I was surprised that I had a learning curve on it. I don't know if the Conti is that different, or the Dunlop was that worn. But I wasn't digging the Conti until this week. It just didn't feel stable. Almost like there was slippage. This week though, they feel much better. Almost like a different tire. (yes, I am keeping track of my pressure. I'm OCD about that) So, I think it will be a keeper depending on the mileage it gets. When the Rear Michelin wears out, it will get replaced with the Conti TA.

Not all on the S10 but,

OE Bridgestones very good tyres
Original Metz Tourance very good tyres
TKC80 great tyre, but 2 rear punctures
Kenda big block, like a TKC but harder bit slippery
Karoo street, dont bother
Karoo 3. Performance wise excellent, rears dont last 5mins
Karoo 4, more road orinented than the k3, jury is out (currently mounted)
Mich RP4, sticky AF road tyre, way too thin for gravel

Anyone run TKC80 front/ E07 rear combo?
How many miles did you get out of the Metzeler Karoo 3.Front Rear?? As I am thinking of fitting a pair.I use bike 90% road.but find the Tourance just spin up on wet grass at campsites I go to thoughout the year.Looking for something that will grip well on grass but without the humming noise on motorways.I tried Mitas E07+ and they were noisy on motorways. Thanks Steven.

Hi folks, I have been using Dunlop Mutant tyres front and back for the past couple of years and find them great on the tarmac, also not too bad on gravel and grass if you don't punch it.

Good to hear, I just mounted a set on the SAS but haven't had a chance to test ride yet. They're supposed to be great in the wet, any experience with that?

10,000kms for a k3 rear, 15 odd for the fronts. if you're mostly on tarmac k4 would be a good option. more road oriented but still adequate for a bit of 'greenlaning' as u brits might say! cheers mate
