I would not be surprised. Something is really fishy when I go there to purchase parts. The employee turnover is mind boggling. They always have a lot of bikes but I don't see customers buying them.
I noticed the same thing everytime I've been there even before covid i checked the reviews on google and they all seem to say that everything is not as advertised. I also do quality work for other people for really cheap (comparatively), mainly because I hate seeing people get screwed-over.
You're right, with most shops these days it's all about the dollar $$

Try Larson's Cycle in Cambridge MN. Family owned for decades. I do all my own work, but have had all my recalls and one YES warranty repair there. Very satisfied. Parts prices are OK for a brick and mortar dealer as well. I have been dealing with them since my third bike purchase in 1993.if you don’t mind my asking. What part of the country are you in? Thanks man though about the shop you talked about after this happend. From one of the service writers own words we are down on techs and can only do limited jobs however looks like they do have time for big jobs that pay several thousand dollars. Then he added its just the way it is sorry.Man that is not right!! What BS. Thank you for the heads up. I don't know what
their work load is but give Graham a call at Gustins. All these shops are busy right now. Just a few weeks back I was at Motorhelmets and they had a 2 week backlog.

Dude plastic doors on a 2 man utv are $600+And have you noticed all the UTV's in the back. It is serious money. I talked to an accessories sales buddy of mine at Del Amo and he was telling me that modifications are through the roof on those things. It is nothing to end up with more than the cost of the vehicle just in parts and labor.
I wasn't allowed in the show room unless your buying parts or a vehicle and you have a chaperon the whole time your inside.Apparently everybody lost their jobs. . . . and bought motorcycles. A while back somebody showed a picture of Romney's showroom. It was damn near empty. I figured it was a supply issue. But, the I found out my local shop is too. They said that sales have gone crazy; supply isn't the issue. I don't get it.

That is nuts sorry to hear about that, over the years I've seen a lot shops close & never get replaced both independents & dealers. I think there arrogance towards customer service carries over the rest of there business & they fail.I dont know why I have such bad luck. Now Bert's bites the dust. Took 3.5 hours for a rear wheel install and decline to do a fork oil change and front wheel bearing swap. They said I would have to leave it for a week. After after called back twice and told just drop it off, or that someone will call you back. I kept saying the same thing that I want to make an appointment. Well finally after 2 weeks I called again and was told it would take 6 to 7 hours which is not even close to what takes to do it unless you dont know what your doing. After asking for the manager he told me they operate at 50 to 65% efficiency so that they dont cause any mistakes and you'll get billed for 5.5 to 6.5 hours and you'll have to leave for more then one day. Well I can you as being a mechanic myself years ago its has many factors but a few stick out. Money is the first and comes before anything, second it's the cost of doing business and third it's hard to deal with customers. I will talk money as a employee doesnt matter as he can be replaced and you can find cheaper labor. The customer will never know if the person is qualified as long as they feel the work has been done. If a shop, business or mechanic has to steal it's fine because they might not see it as wrong. In my experience they are ruthless and it's becoming more common place especially in major city's. I had a conversation with a friend who told me that their mechanic had 14 + years experience. I told them they can still do a job wrong 14 years straight because they have many customers. Also this is across any business that manual labor is involved. What you see in the store front, commercial or in a service writer can be a front. I'm talking about the SF bay Area where there were enough really good independent shops & tuners who took pride in there work with great service & never had a problem finding great mechanics. Recently I moved to central Oregon and this place has NO dealers or independent shops a BMW & KTM shop that were about 1.5 hrs South from me burned up last month, a KTM/Yamaha Dealer about 2hrs North are straight up liars & I will never go back ,Triumph dealer 2.5 North seems real good & I'm buying a new bike from them. Not sure why the Motorcycle industry got like this but kinda same old story.
