i think it will break things up a bit by leaving the covers over the radiator and battery black. Then with the front fender staying black, it won't be Yellow Overload. Did that guy with the dual supertrapp really go yellow on his?

Jeff, I think the yellow looks to street bike. I just saw a couple of ratty looking GSR's today, both were yellow.
They were both a 10 dollar paint job. I liked the orange on your st1300.

Yama-Claus is filling the ship, the bikes are getting closer and so are the choices for color I am going with to paint my Steed!!! I have chosen Honda Color Y52P, like on the S2000 and the Acura NSX. I am going with a flat clear coat instead of shiny gloss!!! I got the spray out sample today, and it looks really good!!!

Is that the yellow of the AP1 or the AP2? I don't remember the names, but there were two different yellows.
My first S2K was Grand Prix White and my second was Laguna Blue Pearl.

Rod, I dont know what AP1 or 2 means.
Sorry, the terms "AP1" and "AP2" actually relate to the VIN sequence. The 2000 thru 2003 model years were "AP1" and the 2004 thru the end of production were "AP2". S2K folks simply refer to the different model series as either AP1 or AP2. :)

The yellow on the first series was different than on the later one. I beleive there was a 3rd yellow near the end when they introduced the CR series, but it was kinda blah.

Just looked it up: Spa Yellow Pearl.. Y-52P (AP!) and Rio Yellow Pearl.. Y-65P (AP2)

I know, a lot more information than you were looking for!!!

;)

Thanks Rod for the info!!! Makes sense!!! It is simple, when a manufacturer changes some major things on a certain model that is in production, this like the AP 1 or 2 decides which years these were. Toyota did it with the Supra years ago, years up to 1992ish were considered Mark III Supras and 1993 to 1998 were designated as Mark IV Supra's, still supras!!!

For our intents and purposes, what i mentioned and did Colorider were simply the Paint codes like PPG Paint would use to decide the paint color in which i mentioned Y52P and Colorrider mentioned the other one. You need these codes if you go into any paint shop to choose a color you want sprayed!!

Go for it Jeff! It will be something to see.

Still... 'Spa Yellow Pearl' kinda sounds like something that might feel good, but you wouldn't want your friends to see you doing... :D

No Ron not kidding! This isn't my first repaint. I truly don't like black and like blue even less.

I think you're nucking futs, but I eagerly await the pics of the freshly painted S10 all the same. We're all farkling and fussing with our new toys now. I just don't see how you could lose all this prime riding time to get it painted though! Any idea how long it will take before you get the bits back?
