Thanks to Blue Eyes for his informative posts. We appreciate the support!
Unfortunately I am not sure what the "unrestricted" ECU settings are. Could be related to ignition timing and/or different control over the fly-by-wire throttle. Unfortunately the PCV does NOT have control over either of these things. In either case the PCV will allow you to optimize your air/fuel curve allowing your bike to run the best that it can in its current state.
Any other questions send them over.
I just installed my Akrapovic exhaust as Blue Eyes recommends and have my LCD display ready to receive information from the PCV ... bought the LCD100 as the Dynojet site recommends through their distributor in Chile (
www.dynomecanica.cl) since they cannot sell in USA for foreign individuals ... unfortunately the cable that came with the display was not the adequate for the PCV ... the distributor said it was the PCIII one ... I mailed Dynojet:
Hi Kathy ... today I received my LCD100 from your distributor in Chile
and we checked it to see if it complies with my Power Commander V ...
unfortunately the cable you sent is for the PCIII so Mr. Enzo Brunel
is sending it back requesting the correct cable ... it seems that the
information in your site is not correct since it mentions the LCD100
for the PCV (
http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander/powercommanders.aspx?mk=28&mdl=118&yr=2011&pc=22-041&mk-n=Yamaha&mdl-n=XTZ1200&pc-ver=PCV&add-mdlyrid=22-041&add-mdlyrid2=22-041&fullstr=22-041)
and in some other part it mentions the LCD200
(
http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander/Products/LCDUnit/powercommander_lcd.aspx)
saying the following: Power Commander LCD-200 Unit Features
Can be connected to Power Commander V, WideBand2, AutoTune, CMD and
CMD Marine units ... ???????
Still waiting for the correct cable and have been told that the difference between the LCD100 and LCD200 is only a firmware upgrade ... when completed I will show how it performs and if it is a necessary 'gadget'.
Thanks Blue Eyes ... I'm using your table and the bike just 'took off'
Cheers,
Roberto
