That's my kinda luck. Oh no, can't go through the main tread . . . . where it can be easily/cheaply fixed. No, it has to be the sidewall. I will never have another Good Year tire. I think they put magnets in the carcass.

Thanks for posting, enjoyed that. A level headed and honest review.

I’ve watched a lot of this YouTubers videos and enjoy his calm, yet interesting delivery style. If any of you have not seen the Norway series, it’s worth a look.

I like KTM, Ive considered it many times. But when I see stuff like this is just stops me in my tracks, I have NO issues with my ST. This popped up on FB KTM the other day. Its a 2020 1290 adventure with about 14K miles. Cracked frame, he said he has notified the dealer (I don't remember the exact sentenced he posted about the dealer) and the dealer told him they are not getting involved and go pound sand. In the comments, many others had very similar comments about the dealer network that super sucks with warranty issues, parts issues, and no help.
(I'm SURE this is not everyones experience, just writing what I read)

I recently helped a friend with an ST, he also has a KTM. He told me he has no issues with his Yamaha and he constantly has issues with his KTM. Water pump, fuel tank, fuel filters, fuel pump, Etc. Etc. He likes the "ride" of the KTM, but he admitted that its just to much maintenance and broken parts all the time. He is looking to sell it.

Ill probably keep my ST for another 20 years. LOL

I'll admit I have little more than 20K on my 2020 1290, but so far it has been low maintenance and flawless. I do know there are horror stories out there but I have yet to personally meet anyone who has those problems. I am not saying they don't exist, but in my travels I haven't encountered those unfortunate riders.

Did I mention my 1290 told me this on my last ride?

It's such a practical joker.
