me and the wife went there 3 yrs on the bounce, we went up to the eagles nest from there and hitlers BERGHOF was a few hundred yards from it,
the lovely old lady that owned it, told us about her family owning it, when the third reich took it off them and had it as a SS garisson to protect the area and the berghof, she showed us all the under ground tunnels and where they went to, one went to martin boremans house.
they managed after the war to get it back, she was getting on back then and was struggling to get staff,
as far as i can see it is temporarily closed, thats a huge shame as it is stunning
