Hello all.....just got this e-mail from my Yamaha dealer in Okotoks, Alberta:

"Sorry about the delay getting back to You, I was off yesterday so just got
off the phone with Amir from Yamaha and he figures Your bike will arrive
next week! The first batch went in order on early deposit, and ours was not
on the first list!!! I would say the ETA should be July 22 to July 29 before
We get Your crate".

Oh man, it's sooooooooooo close.

Wow! That's cool getting that kind of information. I just wished we could get the same for the USA. :

I'm glad I got the info from Yamaha Canada.....but now I am not gonna get any sleep. Man, this is waaaaaaay better than Christmas.

Being retired, I gotta find more to do between now and then. There is always a good ride on the VMax!!

I'll be there to help unload and break open the crate...with pictures of course.

Perhaps this will be the way all bikes will be delivered. It's only right that those who plunked down cash first, get their bike first.

My dealer told me this morning that my bike could be here by .... Monday. This Monday. This coming Monday. Three days from now. Monday, July 18, 2011. That Monday.


I informed him that that would be acceptable to me. Quietly walked out of the shop, drove home and changed my underwear. I'm fine. No really, I'm fine. No need to be concerned. Seriously. R

It almost doesn't seem real can't believe they are finally arriving.

Well, I don't know what Yamaha U. S. will do, but Yamaha Canada is fast tracking the snot out of these bikes now that they are on the ground. My dealer is in total disbelief. He's never seen them move this quickly before. So my guess is you will see yours very soon. Apparently Yukon had the largest order of all Canadian dealerships (go figure) so we are being accommodated first, but they are coming quickly now.


It won't be long, my fellow Die Hards. It won't be long ....


Oh, Tenere ... Oh, Tenere ... I knew that you'd be here some day ... ehhh, you don't want to hear any more of that crap. I'll keep you posted. R

Rem, I am planning on camping ON the roadside at Marsh Lake starting Friday, when the truck goes by I will ask my children, 9 and 10 years old, to move their lemonade stand to the centre of the road, once the truck stops, I will hand drag the crate off, PDI my steed in the ditch, send Yukon Yamaha a check and be back in town by first snow fall. OR wait for their call when it is ready. I like the first idea better.

Side note, my wife has gone to the Vet to get some horse sedative, she indicates she is going to spike my beverage with it, stick an IV in my arm until the dealer calls. seems I am driving her a bit nutty with this. I am a spontaneous buyer, this purchase has been anything but spontaneous. see you when I wake up.
